Increasing simultaneous connections to fast download server?

Post by coty9090 »

I have been having problems when i try uploading files to my fast dl. It keeps giving me a response saying there are too many connections from my internet address and i'd like to see if i can raise the limit.

Use SFTP, or reduce the number of simultaneous connections to 2 or less. NFO's FTP server limits connections per IP, and will temporarily IP ban you if you exceed the limit.

As the others stated, we encourage customers to use SFTP. There's no connection limit, and there's no throttling. To do this, you use the exact same login information as you used with FTP, but you use a client that supports SFTP and which connects to port 22 instead of port 21.

I'm using FTP, and have only ever used FTP.

I tried using SFTP on filezilla, but it won't even connect.
it says:
"Response: fzSftp started, protocol_version=2
Command: open "server_name" 22
Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Could not connect to server

I looked in the SFTP settings and all it has is a public key authentication list.

Are you using the same login information? It should be as simple as changing the drop down to SFTP as seen here:

I tried using WinSCP instead and it says "The server rejected SFTP connection, but it listens for FTP connections."

So doesn't that mean it's being blocked by the nfo webhost?
