Since the machine is dedicated to just game updates, each update is a few gigabytes, and the machine has 16 GB of RAM, the disk speed is not material. All of the content sticks around in the read cache.

Too bad todays update didn't fix the many issues CS:GO has been causing many of my players as of late.
Bad FPS, choppy game play....just sad...valve get your act together!

It's rather remarkable how large these updates are and yet how little behavior they change. Thursday's adjusted 3.8 GB of files on Windows.
