Re: Problem with CentOS 6.4 Linux GRUB INSTALL
Javier, which Installation of CentOS are you using, 6.4, or 6.5? Also, did you use NFO's auto-installer, or was this a from scratch installation? You said you updated the kernel, can you list the update (as shown from yum), that you used that caused this issue? I see some references to VNC in your o...

Re: Windows Server 2008 R2 (Metafile RAM Usage)
So, I have rendered the primary world in lowres mode, using the lowest settings possible for renders per tick, and chunks per render. The RAM seems to have calmed down some, but in the long run is very slowly running the metafile and RAM back up, although not at the phenomenal rate it was before. To...

Re: Free extra bandwidth!
I agree with the above post, just another reason NFO is so highly recommended... Not only do you guys strive to offer the your customers the highest level of support, with the lowest cost to us, but you look for ways to further lower costs to your customers, and still hold the highest standards of o...

Re: Windows Server 2008 R2 (Metafile RAM Usage)
So far, the only solutions I am seeing (based on all the threads, and articles that I have found) is to a) Pay Microsoft $100 for a manual fix to implement a manual limiter on the amount of RAM that can be cached (now the charge mentioned above, is based on replies and postings to articles, I have n...

Re: Pure SSD VDS
Just to throw my two cents into the jar here... I agree on both ends, I would love to see servers running SSD vice platter based drive arrays.. But I also understand the overhead in costs that would be generated from this setup. NFO has the lowest costs of any hosting company I have seen to date, wh...

Re: Windows Server 2008 R2 (Metafile RAM Usage)
As stated in my initial posting, the RAM usage is the entire issue, specifically the metafile portion. I have ran my Minecraft launch file using 1GB, 1536MB and 2GB of ram, all have the same result, metafile eating up all the VDS's RAM. And as for watching the VDS, constantly, I have only done this ...

Windows Server 2008 R2 (Metafile RAM Usage)
I have done quite a bit of research over the past couple of days regarding this issue and I have come to a stonewall. Here is a basic description of the situation. I have the Three Core VDS (Unmanaged) package, with an addition 4096MB (4GB) of ram, hosted through Chicago running Windows Server 2008 ...

After moving server it will no longer run
Good morning, I have been working all night and morning to try and resolve an issue, here is the problem. I have used NFO to host my (previous) My Tekkit server and now my FTB Ultimate 1.1.2 (minecraft 1.4.7) server(s). I decided after a few mishaps to purchase a VDS with Windows Server 2008 RC2 x64...
