I don't think that's true.. I think that if GSPs are willing to give provide good hardware, it will be lag free.

now its around 15 people.
we was hit by a large DDOS attack which lasted 24 hours in the begining, but its plain sailing since then.
That's why it's so smooth, mine was hitting 100-140.

Re: Rust support?

Yea I just switched off multiplay and went with another provider that advertises performance.. still just laggy and shitty. I guess I give up on hosting rust servers for a while.

Re: Rust support?

Yes, that is Garry, but I wouldn't recommend just showing up to his house.

Re: Rust support?

From what I hear the current host are extremely bad :/ If anyone in our community is able to Tweet Garry please do let him know NFO is interested! Do you know if he doesn't know you're interested or he knows and he's just waiting? I've had some friends of mine reach out to him, not sure if he's res...

Also, I just sent a tweet and tagged you in it. I wonder if he'll see it.

Re: Rust support?

So even if I were to rent a server from another GSP (You or otherwise) I would run into this issue when I get past 1.6 GB? I wouldn't expect you to. I was just stating the server appears to be doing that. Which may be why they're killing servers and rebooting them. Well thank you for all the answer...

Re: Rust support?

It's extremely likely, yes. After you mentioned the memory issue above I dug a bit deeper. The server doesn't appear to have a leak, but it also seems to not unload unused memory. Meaning once a server peaks, it never goes back down, even if that server is empty. My server peaked at 39 slots today ...

Re: Rust support?

We probably wouldn't allocate any. The only game we actually allocate memory to is Minecraft. Other then that we have a system which checks for servers using over 1GB of memory and reboots them. Games which are known to use over 1GB(NS2/Arma2/3) would have that check disabled. obviously, the more r...

Re: Rust support?

It seems odd that the other company wouldn't include the RAM usage in its price point. I know that many GSPs put far too little memory in their machines, though -- I've heard some that say they're only using 8 GB on E3-1270 boxes, for instance! We use 16 GB at minimum, and most machines have at lea...

Re: Rust support?

There very well may be a memory leak, but from what I've seen I don't see one. So far my test server has been very consistent in memory usage. They're correct, though, the way the game handles structures is very inefficient, with your server being over 100 players I imagine a lot of structures are ...

Re: Rust support?

I haven't seen any memory leaks. Server stays pretty consistent on memory usage. 0-20 slots is going to use 800-900 megs and 20-33 slot will use 900-1.1GB. I've left the server up for 4 days and didn't notice any increase in memory. As far as I know Rust doesn't support assigning memory. It's possi...

Re: Rust support?

Any intel on bandwidth or not yet? I imagine it would consume half of that on a full machine? 1270V3 for example a full 30 slot server is going to use 1.2mbits/s Hey Kraze, I'm currently running a rust server through another GSP. We have 150 slots and routinely fill it. They only allocate us 1.1GB ...
