Re: Problems adding SSD Drive
I gave up in the end and restored a backup from 1am UK time. The server was not operating from 7am and overnight is our quietest period. There has been some loss of data but nothing that won't get solved over the next week or so by players getting in touch with moderators / admins. Thank you for all...

Re: Problems adding SSD Drive
Actually it does seem to be a little different, if anything it seems in a worse state.
I've obviously done something (not too sure what though!)..

Re: Problems adding SSD Drive
Hi I didn't actually use LVM on purpose but yes I installed CentOS, I haven't actually done anything (atleast not recently) other than as described above. I'm just trying to get to the bottom of this . I rebooted as I said I would, still wouldn't work, so I adjusted the partition of the SSD again, r...

Re: Problems adding SSD Drive
I booted the system in gparted as it was the quickest way to get to a terminal. Having a look at the logical volumes, it seems that there is a 5GB drive attached to the machine that it can't access. http://i.gyazo.com/c6a6844c96596a4c54b8084bb4cc5749.png I know this is a long shot but the only 5GB t...

Re: Problems adding SSD Drive
I rebooted. hdb1 still could not be formatted / mounted but hdb2 was able to. I adjusted hdb1 so it was small (250mb), then make hdb2 7.5gb and hdb3 as 1.5gb. The SSD seemed to be 10.7 so thought it would be ok. I rebooted.. now I'm getting: http://i.gyazo.com/42f02bde3a74d31483456745e35cc436.png So...

1 year on at NFO Servers
Hi All I've been with NFO for just over a year now so thought as I was on the forums, I'd pop by and post a new testimonial. I run a roleplay game server (+ attached forum) which can have up to 80 players online and in total there is probably 250 or more active players, many of whom take part in our...

Problems adding SSD Drive
Hi All Was recommended by the support team to post here on this issue so everybody could jump in and assist. I just added an SSD Drive to my VDS, running CentOS. Disk /dev/hdb: 10.7 GB, 10737418240 bytes That shows up in fdisk -l so I guess that's what I use. I ran: mkdir /ssd mount /dev/hdb /ssd Al...

Outstanding Service
I'm usually the kind of person who will complain when there are problems but remain silent when things are going well. In this case though, I feel obliged to post a testimonial because the service I have received from NFO Servers is on another level to what I've experienced with past companies. I ru...
