Using x86_64 garrysmod beta?
I would like to install the x64 gmod beta (perhaps it has better performance, etc) It also has support for Mysqloo 9.7.0-beta-1 which to use MySQL version 8 it is mandatory that you use the x64 version of the server to load and run x64 binary modules. Is it possible to use a beta on a managed server?

RDC & Game Servers stop working after time
After running for a while I notice that my 2 game servers go offline on my Windows VDS. When I try to connect via RDC to see whats going on, I am unable to connect. After restarting the server through the control panel the problem goes away. I am not able to use VNC at any time for some reason (even...

Re: Rust support on managed linux
I've been running a stable server for over a week now that hasn't crashed on an unmanaged Ubuntu 16.04.1 box. Perhaps stability is reliant on a certain distribution? As far as I can tell there is no console and the outputted text is always the same. Sometimes the server takes up to 60 seconds to boo...

Rust support on managed linux
Rust has had native linux dedicated server support since February. I was wondering if nfo was planning on adding Rust servers to be used with a managed linux server. I'm interested in running a Rust server on my managed linux server and was just curious as to why support isn't here yet or if it will...

Re: Auto-Websync Repeating
That didn't seem to have any effect. I noticed that the ots33_slide.vtf.size file had the contents of the size of the original file, which appears to be correct. Another thought would be to just delete these files on the server, I don't think materials are needed and clients actually download the mo...

Auto-Websync Repeating
I have Auto-Websync setup to sync again every morning. What I have noticed in the events log is that it appears to be syncing the same files every day even though those files are already on the webserver. I have not changed any files on my server in over a week and the message is identical every day...

Re: Lag Spikes with high players
Would a faster cpu speed help? I saw that I'm on 6 cores of a Dual Intel Xeon E5-2690v2 (Ivy Bridge-E 3.0ghz) and in the dedicated server offerings they go up to 4GHz. 33% improvement in theory?

Lag Spikes with high players
Hey guys, I have a few questions about server performance and how it works. I have a Jailbreak server with 50 player slots, and it seems to lag on the server side at around 35 players. At first I thought it was due to the low cores I had, I was running on a 4-core VDS at the time. I recently upgrade...

Re: SVN URL out of date
Ah ok, I've removed mine and the new reinstalled ones seem to be up to date. The url seems to stick in the control panel with the method I use to "check" the url: 1. Set new repo to "addon: ULib" 2. Commit changes 3. Reload the page 4. Change "addon: ULib" to "Cust...

SVN URL out of date
This is aimed at nfo staff, but the svn url is outdated on garrysmod servers for the ULib and ULX addons in the easy setup page. They were updated by the team and will no longer work at the new year. New Repos: ULX SVN: https://github.com/TeamUlysses/ulx.git/trunk ULib SVN: https://github.com/TeamUl...

Email to POST
I was looking around at some options online that when you received an email they would immediately send a POST message to a http server for processing. I was wondering if nfo had any such thing or if it would be possible for me to make one using the resources on shared hosting or possibly using an u...

Re: VDS: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, is it safe to upgrade?
I've had good success with my upgrades from 12.04 to 14.04 in the past. Some server applications might need slight tweaks to work or if you are running old programs they might not run or compile on the new version, so you might make sure all your programs are compatible with a new version before you...

Re: Changing time on VDS has no effect
I might suggest a rewording or possibly removing the option for customers on managed machines then, especially if the High Performance Event Timer cannot be disabled on managed machines as well. The bold note in the advanced section reads "If you change an option here, a VDS restart will be req...

Changing time on VDS has no effect
I recently attempted to have my VDS changed to UTC time, by deselecting the box that reads "Use a local system clock instead of UTC" and I had a staff member restart my VDS so that it could be implemented according to the help box displayed beside this option. It didn't change the time, it...
