I know when you spectate, there is a slight lag. In CS (original) people would awp and it looked like they were missing, however on their screen it was actually hitting.

I believe this is what is happening with CS:S, along with the fact that CS:S still has a lot of bugs.

You probably don't want to mess with default maps like de_dust2 unless you rename them. (Otherwise everyone joining your server will get errors saying "Map isn't the same as server map")

The only way to add spawn points is to learn how to edit maps using the Hammer.
