Yes if it's OpenWarfare 2 then the maps should go in the mapcontrol.cfg file not the normal server.cfg or whatever you called it (you did change the name right? - it's always a good idea to do that).
Hope it works
Peace.

Re: Compile issues
Just a thought but do you have the development files for "tzdata" (yes that's the name of the package  ) installed? Check the repository for the dev package and make sure it's installed. Also check that you have a full install of all the compiler packages. Compile errors are usually ...

Re: custom maps
Hey there 56ketchup - firstly are you running the "Openwarfare" mod - OR is it the "Openwarfare 2" mod? I don't really have much experience with the origianl Openwarfare mod but I know for a fact that the OW2 mod requires you to put the maps into a separate config file and NOT in...

Re: Custom Maps On COD4 Server
You're very welcome Jackal, just glad I could help a little. We COD4 players/server admins need to support each other to keep it alive. It's a great mod and I really enjoy all the improvements they made. It's just a shame their site appears to have closed.
Peace.

Re: B3 Issues
I know I'm REALLY late with this reply, so apologies about that. Have you tried disabling the Punkbuster plugin for B3 in your b3.xml file ?. PB are no longer supporting COD4 so if you have the PB plugin enabled B3 tries to authorise the players with the activision server. As it's not there any more...

Re: Custom Maps On COD4 Server
Ok firstly you only need to have the commands in one of the cfg files and our server has them in the configs/server/others.cfg file. Secondly IGNORE the line that says "Leave this value at 0 until you get into the server". I'm not sure why the authors put that in, but we've (well I've) fou...

Re: Custom Maps On COD4 Server
You're very welcome Jackal, it sounds like you know what you're doing so it should be a breeze once you look through all the configs. I'm not sure what I'm allowed to post in the way of links on here, so the best way to find our servers is to either visit our site and select the "Servers" ...

Re: Custom Maps On COD4 Server
I'm sorry for the double post mods/admins but I can't see an "edit" option on my post (I think I left it too long before trying to edit the post ) Jackal - I've just tried to access your server and I'm only getting 12 kb/s for the map download which usually means that the map isn't in your...

Re: Custom Maps On COD4 Server
There's no need to feel an "idiot" It's a steep learning curve but once you've worked it out you'll wonder why you thought it was all so hard. Ok now to answer your last question. The maps that are displayed in the ACP need to be added to the advanced acp config file. Look again in t...

Re: Custom Maps On COD4 Server
I read something today that said openwarfare2 mod really does not like custom maps much so I am going to download a different version tonight and try that. Since openwarfare.com no longer exists it is hard to find documentation for the mod and I am winging it from my other server experience. The Op...

Simply the best
After trying several other VASTLY INFERIOR GSP's the Ci13 decided to use NFO, it was the best decision we've ever made. The customer/tech support is awesome. If you post a question using the "Help" section in the control panel you will usually get a response within a few minutes and every ...

PRoCon changing server name after map change.
Well I hope I'm in the right section for this  For several months now our Clan's BF4 server has been having an issue where the name would change after map rotation no matter how many times we set the name using the "easy setup" tab. In the hope of helping others with the same issue t...

Re: What you need to know about the recent compromise here
I don't believe there's any problem with mentioning a name or link. I personally use KeePass to keep track of my passwords. I believe the PM system is disabled to avoid users PMing people private for help, since that kind of takes away what the community forums are for. Yup that's the program I use...

Re: What you need to know about the recent compromise here
I think I probably don't have sufficient posts to use the pm system on here - but I know of a very good password program, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the link? maybe someone could tell me if I'm allowed to do that as I can't pm anyone to ask them  I use the program so that I don't ...

Re: What you need to know about the recent compromise here
Seems to me that they (nfo) did everything they could and as has been said in other posts - it's refreshing to be kept informed, not something that the majority of other companies would do I'm sure
Keep up the good work!
