Alpha 14 Performance
I was hoping somebody who currently has a 7DTD hosted with NFo could post up and provide some feedback on how things are performing after Alpha 14 has been out for a while now. I was hopeful they would fix a lot of the issues plaguing the multiplayer community in this one, but as usual, the feedback...

Re: 7 Days to Die A13
One other note, mostly to NFo... I spoke with Madmole (one of the main developers of 7DTD) and he said the game was never designed as a massive multiplayer. He said around eight players is the sweet spot - anything more than that and it's more than likely going to have issues. Might look at offering...

Re: 7 Days to Die A13
I would expect prices to nearly double with this last patch. Our server used to run at about 700,000-1,100,00 memory with 5-6 players We now hit nearly 3,000,000 with just 1 player. Extremely crappy update. Word on the street is A13.5 was the best for performance. Some are saying A13.6 is decent, b...

Re: 7 Days to Die A13
We'll have a better picture tomorrow, but so far tonight things are looking vastly improved. Memory usage is down to a more reasonable level. CPU usage is about the same. The red arrow here shows when the upgrade to A13.3 took place on my server: http://i.imgur.com/RVDXi0q.png Not too shabby. A bud...

Re: 7 Days to Die A13
A13.3 was just released. Word on the street is that things have improved greatly on the server-side.

Would you guys be able to add a sub-forum under the Knowledgebase for 7DTD?
Thanks so much!

Re: Advertisements 0.6 Plugin
Don't mind me, just talking to myself... So I changed the server.cfg entries to sv entries: //////// PLUGIN STUFF ////Advertisements //Enable/disable advertisements(0/1, def 1) sv_advertisements_enabled 1 //Advertisements file sv_advertisements_file advertisements.txt //Amount of seconds between adv...

Re: Advertisements 0.6 Plugin
I found a thread indicating that I needed to either create my own CFG file or add some stuff to my server.cfg. I went ahead and added it to my server.cfg. Here is the post that says I need to do that... https://forums.alliedmods.net/showpost.php?p=1395154&postcount=1078 So I added the following ...

Advertisements 0.6 Plugin
Anybody running this? https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=155705 I am and the announcements themselves are running flawlessly; however, I can't get any of the sm_ commands to work as they have indicated in the first post. Example being sm_advertisements_reload . It says it's an unknown co...

Re: Insurgency - A Few Questions
So for those that have this same question, which is how does the server know to serve up Firefight off the shelf from NFo. Turns out that if no game mode is indicated, such as sinjar firefight in yourmapcyclefile.txt , it assumes Firefight. Same goes for when changing a map through the console - run...

Re: Forum solutions
I'm responding because I recently went through this for the community I represent. Tossed around a ton of different ideas and even went as far as to test them on my own server at home. I ended up going with the tried-and-true (although sometimes buggy) phpBB. I've done a lot of research on enhanced ...

Re: Domain Usage - Office 365 E-Mail & For Webhosting/Forums
Glad to hear you got it worked out. For anyone in the future that might come across this, MX records are set by using the little triangle, to the right of the subdomain, which will expand the options for that subdomain, including MX records. Exactly! Just remember you don't need to add an additiona...

Re: Domain Usage - Office 365 E-Mail & For Webhosting/Forums
If you are using the domain with our webhosting, you're using our DNS management, with the NS1.NFOSERVERS.COM and NS2.NFOSERVERS.COM nameservers. This makes the DNS management stop working on the registrar's (GoDaddy) site, so you'd need to recreate the MX records with us. Thanks for the response, ...
