Re: Snapshot ability?
Ok, so I can't find much info on manually snapshots online, but I was able to find this
Is this correct? Which volume do I create it off of and where do I find it?
Thanks.
Code: Select all
lvcreate -s -n home_snap -L 1G /dev/My-vg/home
Thanks.

Snapshot ability?
I always made a snapshot of my vps through SolusVM. I do make backups but I'd like a whole vps backup with settings, users and in the case I recently had to make is move vps(reinstall OS). etc.. there anyway to accomplish this without the use of a control panel? Also a feature request to add this to...

Re: Teamspeak MariaDB
Thank you! I was looking at mariadb's wiki and they said check your my.cnf for the location of the stored data, but there wasn't any info inside the my.cnf. It's many files, I thought it would be one? Is this the correct format https://ibb.co/dy00kn Do I take the whole folder and then create a new d...

Teamspeak MariaDB
Does anyone have any idea where the mariadb database is installed by default on a vps, I need to reinstall the OS and I want to back it up as I installed teamspeak 2 years ago and kind of forgot.
Also is there a way to convert the mariadb to SQLite?

Re: Old kernels removed, but...
Oh I see I was read the dev/root (I read it as /boot had access to the entire vps space.) I read that you said to use "autoremove" to clear out space.
Will I need to reinstall the whole OS for this not to happen? To the same 16.04 LTS image?

Re: Old kernels removed, but...
Forgot to mention that I tried 'apt autoremove' (output below). I installed 16.04 in late 2016 from the control panel, not Ubuntu's site. I honestly don't know what to do/try anymore. Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS Release: 16.04 Codename: xenial sudo apt autoremove Reading p...

Re: Load my own windows
But 99% of companies now offer IPMI for dedicated servers, on a vpn of sorts and offer it to clients. You pulled that number out of your butt :). The number isn't 0%, but it's definitely not 99%. I do not know what licensing restrictions or policies apply to other companies, but I am familiar with ...

Re: Load my own windows
We use IPMI to image machines, but it is not available on the public internet for security reasons. Due to licensing requirements, we need to image the Windows OS. But 99% of companies now offer IPMI for dedicated servers, on a vpn of sorts and offer it to clients. When is it coming to NFO? I've be...

Are you utilizing Nftables for linux and Windivert for windows? This is an example (https://everydayelectronics.co/american-netflix-dns-codes/) of dns ips users would use connect to their servers to stream netflix. DigitalOcean has a couple of IPs listed on that site and they don't offer standard dn...

Re: Inquiries about VPS plans
Thank you for reassuring me! I forgot to ask: Why does the windows firewall have less settings than the linux one? What CPU(s) are used for vps? Not desktop cpus I hope, I read somewhere you did? I'm just curious about the DNS servers because I've seen sites before always publicly giving out dns ser...

Inquiries about VPS plans
@Edge100x I have used nfo for a while now, but never really asked about the service so I have a set of questions. - Do the vps servers come with 1Gbps? Maybe 10Gbps link one to each virtual server? - Do you keep logs such as usage(sites visited)/Time Stamp (start/end of VPN session + duration)/IP ad...
