Re: Integrating Stripe to Prometheus
Prometheus has a dedicated support page on gmodstore assuming you purchased the script, where you can ask this question. Included in that support page is a box to send a message, and links to their discord and support wiki. They'll probably know exactly what you have to do. Cheers!

Re: KF2 Server Disk Thrashing
Update: FastDL for KF2 temporarily caches files for players in their /user/documents/my games/ folder and they will have to eventually redownload content. Some files can be very large. The best thing I've found to fix this is to place content on the server with no FastDL or workshop downloads and ha...

Re: DoD:S Server Config
If you followed the default LinuxGSM install and copied settings from _default.cfg to dodsserver.cfg (or common.cfg) inside your LGSM config folder, you may have to use dodsserver.cfg in the game config folder instead of server.cfg. LinuxGSM Config Folder /home/user/lgsm/config-lgsm/dodsserver/ Game...

Using LinuxGSM on NFO Unmanaged Server
What is LinuxGSM? Linux Game Server Manager is a script to manage your game servers. I personally use LinuxGSM to manage 20 of my servers, and wanted to share a NFO-tailored guide. Warning- Do not expect NFO Staff to provide support on this, please refer to the LinuxGSM discord for support. Guide t...

Re: Players purposely crashing my game-server.
Adding -condebug to the server startup line will create a file called console.log in your server folder. I'm not sure if it tracks everything on a Gmod server though.

KF2 Server Disk Thrashing
Hola, I recently changed my unmanaged KF2 servers back to workshop downloads from fastDL because I read that the issue was fixed. Unfortunately it does not seem to be fixed because I am currently consuming all of the HDD's IO on the latest non-beta server version. Does anyone have a solid workaround...

Re: Squad host
That's a super weird reason to not allow server hosting. LGSM supports squad if you want to try hosting on an unmanaged NFO server. I kinda want to install a squad server to see how heavy it runs haha.

Re: Fix Killing Floor 2 Server High I/O, Hard Drive usage custom maps
Nah, it just stops logs from being written to file as far as I could tell. I watched iostat and fatrace (ubuntu 18.04) for about 2 hours, did some more finangiling. Discovered it only partially "fixes" the problem, server still bangs on the HDD doing constant reads. Turned all of my server...

Fix Killing Floor 2 Server High I/O, Hard Drive usage custom maps
I recently found out about a KF2 Server problem, if you are hosting custom maps through the steam workshop the server will constantly check for updates on those maps. This isn't a problem, however it writes to a log file every time it checks, and this smashes the server hard drive. If you are hostin...

Re: sven co op
Hello friend, I just noticed you recently necro'd this two year old post. After my last post I found a utility called Linux Game Server Manager, which brings a level of accessibility I have come to love. Here is a tutorial to run a sven coop server on a NFO VPS with Ubuntu using LGSM. Installing any...

Let's Encrypt, woo
I just now found out you guys added support for Let's Encrypt, in an funny way. Forum login on my site stopped working recently. Spent a good amount of time trying to figure it out, wrote to Invision support, while troubleshooting asked me if I had any redirects such as HTTP to HTTPS, which made som...

Re: Automatic fastdl for unmanaged VDS (Counter-strike 1.6)
It is worth mentioning that rsync is included by default, at least on Ubuntu.
Here is another guide that seems very well laid out: https://www.atlantic.net/hipaa-complian ... s-servers/

Re: Automatic fastdl for unmanaged VDS (Counter-strike 1.6)
Hello, while I don't use either option myself(how hard is opening one extra SSH session and copying haha), you might want to look into either "lsync" or "rsync" to sync your files if you are on a linux distro. lsync Github: https://github.com/axkibe/lsyncd Digital Ocean rsync gui...

Re: New FPS - WW3
I'm glad someone asked this! It's a game I'm interested in buying when it comes out. However it seems like WW3 wont have player servers, which unfortunately means I get to skip another game :/. From the AMA: Will custom server hosting be a thing? A: Not planned for near future, maybe after early acc...
