Re: BC2 on LAN ?

BOO! Sounded too easy. Ha.

Well I'll just chalk it up to another stupid EA thing. I don't play their games anymore, but figured maybe I could help when I had a spare moment. Good luck with EA and maybe they will hear the people's cries.

Re: BC2 on LAN ?

This is very familiar, just like other games. "Go to your battlefield folder and create a new shortcut for BFBC2Game.exe and add +clientport 270xx (where xx is between 24 and 38 I think)" Found it on the EA site. Keep it in mind that it bypasses the updater, so just use the regular shortcut when you...

Re: Locked Out of VPS!

If your domain is CORP, then you can use the username corp\administrator or administrator@corp.com or whatever domain you used to log in as the domain administrator.

Re: SourceMod AutoInstall

Once you add it via the Easy Setup page, you would have to setup admins to have control of it ingame, but other than that, you don't really have to do much and could use its defaults.

Re: New Punkbuster Install

You can not run any executable on the server for security reasons. PB should automatically update and every server comes with it installed already. What is the reason for working with PB? Is it outdated? Is it not enabled? What is the issue you started working with it? It would be best if you contac...

Re: Redirection URL ?

If this is for a HL1 or Source based server, you can use the file sync feature on your website page of the control panel. You will have to create the webspace first if you haven't. If you do not understand, please contact us on live chat on your control panel.

How do I force downloads? (res file)

Source Server RES file In the maps directory, you need to create a file named mapname.res that lists all the custom resources required by the map, as explained above. However, there is a different format for the RES files, in a different structure than explained for Counter-Strike 1.6. The format is...

CS:Source: Why am I running too fast in the server?

This typically happens when you replace our default server.cfg with like a league config or another config you have.

The main thing you need to add back into the server.cfg is:

sv_accelerate 5

Does SourceMod have stats?

The standalone version of Sourcemod does not come with any stats plugins. You need to use a custom 3rd party plugin for this purpose with Sourcemod.

You can search the Sourcemod forums for a plugin or search via plugins on their main site here.
