Re: Hello and Help!

I have very minor experience with apache, but to me, it sounds like you'll need some sort of thirdparty help. As said in this ServerFault thread, https://serverfault.com/questions/369999/block-illegitimate-traffic-hackers-scrapers-spammers-to-your-website For the random shutdowns of apache, you'll h...

Re: Setting up a 1.6 server on linux

See if Linux Game Server Manager can help you with that. I've used it before to host servers, and i like it.

Linux isn't "shit", it's just more difficult to use if you're not experienced with the terminal interface.

Re: How do I add users to my VPS but restrict access to specific files

Personally, I know you can when using a FTP server like FileZilla pretty easily. Simply add the path you don't want them to access, then deny them all permissions of that folder. For Windows, probably the same procedure, just editing the user's permissions. How exactly are the users accessing the VP...

Re: Routing home hosted game server traffic through VDS to hide home IP

So I read a little into the guide you linked in your post, and as far as I can tell, the first thing you'll need is an additional server at your home to run the OpenVPN Linux Gateway client alongside your main dedicated server. Then on your VDS, you'd want to go ahead and run the OpenVPN Access Serv...

Hey all, Just wanted to see if I could create this thread and hopefully create some traction for getting support for Hellion Multiplayer servers. The game just recently got an update providing major story-line mechanics and general improvements to making the game playable and enjoyable. I feel Helli...

Re: phpMyAdmin configuration storage

So I figured it out, but my a tad bit confused on how I did. But I'll try my best to explain it for anyone else who needs help with it. Basically I uncommented all the code below /* Storage database and tables */ created my own database with my account prefix: Example: $cfg['Servers'][$i]['pmadb'] =...

Re: phpMyAdmin configuration storage

So I'm going to try that first option, but upon looking at my config.inc.php I've found this selection of code within. /** * phpMyAdmin configuration storage settings. */ /* User used to manipulate with storage */ // $cfg['Servers'][$i]['controlhost'] = ''; // $cfg['Servers'][$i]['controlport'] = ''...

phpMyAdmin configuration storage

So I've been trying to enable 2 Factor Authentication to my phpMyAdmin, but due to the limitations within NFO Server's webhosting, I am unable to make the required databases for phpMyAdmin Configuration Storage. Is there by any chance anyone knows a workaround or anything alike? phpMyAdmin's warning...
