When I owned my NuclearFallout server it didn't take that long to fill up( probably like 20-30 minutes). Your 12 slot server will fill up but I think if you add more slots more people would want to play on it in my opinion.

In my opinion the best version is CSDM 2.0 you can get it on the amxmodx website.

My experience with gameservers wasn't that good either. I had a very laggy server. It took about two weeks to change. I ended up cancelling within the first month.
