If you are on windows I would suggest just using the IIS FTP server that comes with windows. If you set it up correctly it would probably use less resources than an external ftp program.

It depends on the speed of the processor (ghz) but you should be fine. I know they use about 1 gig a server but mine say about 600,000kb in task manager and I restart mine every couple days. So that gives you about 400,000kb of room.
