Re: Trouble Installing Desktop Experience

Just a suggestion. Try installing the Media Foundation feature first, then go back and install the Desktop Experience features after. It will lessen the load.

Re: mapchooser

Don't forget there is another plugin called nextmap that calls files to display maps and it targets mapcycle. Better to use mapcycle.txt in your config as the default and leave maplist.txt off of there. Load all your gungame maps in mapcycle afterwards and remove anything you don't want to come up f...

Crysis2 coming to NFO March 22nd?

I see NFO is on the list of providers for Crysis 2 dedicated servers, will we be able to add this add to our managed dedicated? Any info on allowable slots yet?

Re: Procon?

I run a layer for 8 servers and use firedaemon to do the restarts. Absolutely no issues, it works great.

Re: BC2:Vietnam and BF1943?

Personally I would expect it would be new servers as it is more than new maps, it is new player and vehicle models, new weapons, new sprites, sounds, new accomplishments probably, etc. If they add to the existing program it would be a huge set of files and would have to be done through a game mode s...

Re: CoD: Black Ops servers not available here?????

Complaint filed with the FTC on behalf of the EasyCoy community. This is utter nonsense. I am at NFO and not GS because I want, and my community expects, high quality servers and services. To be forced to use this low end provider really has my back up. I predict a massive mess and a resounding numb...

Re: BC2 admin daemon feedback

For those of us with multiple servers, it would be nice if the config holding the admins and their privileges was accessible so we could just copy to the other servers instead of having to re-enter everything ;)

Re: BC2 and PB

We've been running PB and PBBans since R6 was implemented with absolutely no problems. I risked it as I couldn't stand the hackers I was starting to see running amuck and am happy to report all is fine.

Re: Admin daemon feedback

They are useful for assigning different levels of admin rights. Am I correct in assuming you used the stock meaning for !ban which I guess would be to replace this: admin.banPlayer <player name> <timeout> : Ban a player for the specified amount of time. Timeout can be "perm" for permanent,...

Re: Admin daemon feedback

Does this also have the separate ban commands? You show !ban for the command and I have seen the following commands used as well so I am unsure which is appropriate and don't want to ban someone just to find out...lolz: !ban "Duration in seconds" NICKNAME !rban NICKNAME (ban until end of r...

Will NFO host the daemon for BFBC2 Admin Tool?

I saw you had a post up where you were asking for feedback on the three admin tools out there so wanted to add my comments on what my research is showing for best in class. The BFBC2 Admin tool seems to be the front runner in both amount of attention the creators are giving it and the community resp...

Re: NFo StoryBook...How did you get to NFo?

Before we opened our new clan we looked for providers and I found NFO on the web, extremely well rated but a bit more money than some of the others I found. Being a nitwit, I ended up going with another provider who was priced mid range and seemed to have okay ratings (in retrospect I think they had...

NFO and DODS Palermo

I just had to say a few words about NFO, their services and the recent Palermo update. This company is amazing. Valve dumped Palermo on us all with no warning and they managed to have the systems and processes in place to bring all the servers down, rebuild them with the new DODS and release them to...

DODS Beta

Will NFO be supporting DODS Beta? I've been thinking it might be a good idea to start working the server side setups necessary for this new release before Source rolls it out as a full release and it breaks everything...lol. That way I would have the setup details worked out and could quickly update...
