Re: Regarding Minecraft 1.8
The leak apparently crashes alot. My son is using it, and it seems to be iffy at times. I agree it's an intentional leak. You find some games let a copy leak 2-3 days before the actual release. In most cases, I think this would be better. Lower the demand on everyone downloading at the same time. W...

Re: Thinking of purchasing single-core VPS
Thanks! And yeah I know it doesn't change the price, just thought it was something to point out.

Re: Thinking of purchasing single-core VPS
Also, is the price of the single-core server correct? It appears as $30 on the order form. Just making sure, since that seems pretty cheap.

Thinking of purchasing single-core VPS
With 1000 gigs of bandwidth, would I be able to run a 24-slot TF2 server that will be consistently full alongside a 12-slot server that will only have a few players a few hours out of the day without reaching any overages? Also you might want to make the order form uneditable, http://www.mamaslime.o...

Re: Terraria Servers
I'm not personally interested in it, but a Terraria server might be more manageable than a Minecraft server because worlds aren't generated past the initial generation. They only have three preset sizes.

Re: Using .htaccess to deny directory access while allowing
Not sure what exactly I'm supposed to customize in those particular lines. The file works--except it also forbids access to the images.

Using .htaccess to deny directory access while allowing acce
I'd like to use .htaccess to deny entry to particular directories while still allowing access to the files contained in them if directly linked to. In my case, I have a directory that contains a lot of images, but I'd like to prevent people from seeing those images unless I link to them directly. I'...

Re: Please help me in choosing web hosting
I'm going to jump in here and say that yes, NFO's webhosting is great. Everything, especially images, load surprisingly quickly. They're also the best bang for your buck at $2.99. If you find you don't like NFO's hosting, you're only losing three bucks--but I can't imagine not liking them.

Re: VPS: Windows Server 2003 or 2008 R2?
Thanks, that's what I originally suspected, actually. 2008/R2 both cache memory, but I'm not sure if that affects actual performance. I guess I'll experiment.

VPS: Windows Server 2003 or 2008 R2?
I simply ask out of curiosity; I'll probably use 2003. A few months ago, it was recommended to use 2003 (on the low-end VPSes) because of lower RAM usage, but because 2008 R2 is based off of Windows 7, I'm interested to see if there are any improvements over 2008.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Any way to "give" admin in Mumble through NFO's control pane
...Aside from SuperUser, which, for some reason, starts muted when it accesses my server. If I make an "authenticated" user through NFO's control panel, how might I made that user an admin? Do I have to do it directly through Mumble via SuperUser? And if I do, how would I make myself an ad...
