How to find Linux CPU usage?
Anyway to figure out CPU usage through shell? I'd just like to see what the CPU usage is like on my single core, just to see if it could handle more slots, etc.

Apparently I can't spell today! Just curious, but why isn't there an edit button? Maybe I'm just blind though.

Re: Video Card Help
I'm thinking the second one. Mostly cause I'm currently laid off and probabally shouldn't be spending 100+ on a video card for me to sit on my computer more. Don't think the lady friend would approve of that  The $630 ATI 5970 should suffice for you ;-). In real terms, the 4670 would suffice ...

Video Card Help
Looking for a new video card, not sure what to get. Most play CS 1.6 and DODS. I don't need the best of the best, but I want some mediocre and not pay up the rear end. I haven't even really started looking, just thought I'd see what others suggested first, then go from there. Anyone with video card ...

Re: Chicago Half-Life Servers
I was seeing this through the Steam web browser. I was under the impression that VPS's didn't have a firewall on them. If they do, how do I open the ports? Everyone can connect to the servers, just they arn't showing up on the list.

Re: Chicago Half-Life Servers
Just had a scrim with my team tonight and the whole time the server was showing 8/12, even though there was 10 people in. Also, there's NO traffic on my public server, and I'm pretty sure it's not even showing up on the master list. John, you have any thoughts on what might be causing this?

Re: Chicago Half-Life Servers
No, they are not banned. I think it's showing up for them now, but it's on and off. I am completely clueless at this point. I was thinking maybe a firewall issues, but I'm sure you have all the ports open. My private server is running on port 27025 though, and pub server is on 27015.

Re: Chicago Half-Life Servers
Well I was having the same problem at first. Rebooted the servers, now they are always on mine. Now the servers arn't showing up on some of my friends favorites lists. ![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)

That makes me a VERY happy person. Along with some of my friends who play on my server as well. Thanks for finalizing my decision

Re: Chicago Half-Life Servers
Well I will give sv_region 0 a try for a while. I was just curious cause sometimes my servers arn't showing up on my friends favorites. I had sv_region to set to 1, so I thought maybe that was the problem. Must be just a steam problem.

Chicago Half-Life Servers
Anyone know what to use as sv_region for Chicago based servers? Since chicago isn't exactly east, but it isn't west either. Personally, I'm west and I ping 55-60, along with east coast players. sv_region 0 is east, sv_region 1 is west - my question is if you can do sv_region 3 so it shows up in both...

Excellent VPS's
I may have just ordered my VPS a couple days ago, but so far it's been awesome, and then some. Support was fast and very effective, and I have no reason to complain. Even with the minor routing issues with Shaw and Internap, I still manage to get pretty good ping. Other than that, I have no negative...
