Sorry, been on vacation and haven't had much time. I tried the 2.6.x older kernel (12.04 uses 3.0.x) and it works great... Not the best fix in the world, but it allows for me to try a few things and at least download packages to test. Will report back if I learn anything new.

That's left over from setting up openvpn at one point, but taking it down doesn't seem to change anything.

I was hoping anyone could help me, I've had my VPS for a bit over a year with little problems. I just upgraded my server from ubuntu 10.04 LTS to the newer 12.04 LTS and am having problems with networking.

First of all it looks like the install went ok and I can do most things through the ...

So are the logs just pruned? I just checked and I only see logs for the last day or so (perhaps beginning of the month?)

My last/other host has always been weekly gzipped and has about a 6 month retention or so.

Ok, thanks, I'll just use a subdomain on another domain I have, it's not that critical.

The main thing I used it for is point one of my subdomains at no-ip/dnsexit/dyndns nameservers for that type of service to always keep my home ip handy.

With my existing host I have set my domain say example.com to use the nameservers:
ns1.nfoservers.com
ns2.nfoservers.com

Now all of the subdomains I had say subdomain1.example.com return the nameservers:
ns1.nfoservers.com
ns2.nfoservers.com

Is it possible to set the subdomain to use different ...
