Re: Firewall Documentation
Unfortunately, it's not possible to whitelist based on location. You can allow only certain IPs, however. The rules are evaluated in order, so you can have a list of allowed IPs, followed by a block rule, blocking whatever you like, and the allowed IPs will ignore the block rule.

Re: Wrong restart date
This would have been more useful in a support request instead of the forums, but it looks like the 5/20 was a mistype. The subject, written on the 18th says "tomorrow" and "5/19" and the body says "Wednesday". There are 3 things that point to the 19th and only one that ...

Re: Help - Remote desktop wont log in
This is a generic error that can mean any number of things. I would first recommend trying to connect via the VNC console in your VDS control panel to make sure it's running normally.

Re: Adding -nomaster to startup
I realize this was already taken care of, but for other customers:
For some startup line flags, a customer can contact us directly from the Help! tab of your game server control panel and we'll be happy to take a look to see if it's a flag that can be added, since we can do that from our end.

Re: Space Engineers - Is this a no-go for NFO?
We considered this in the past, and I believe we even contacted the developers regarding it, a number of years ago. I think they had a demand for a flat fee per game server that made it not worth pursuing further. It can still be run on an unmanaged VDS, however, with the publicly available dedicate...

Re: Minecraft Forge 1.12.2
I was going to test this, but I apparently don't have Java installed and I don't have time to go through everything this morning. I'll give it a go this evening if no one else does first.

Re: vBulletin, anyone using it here
Many forum software packages will offer scripts for importing data from the other most popular software, like vBulletin, or SMF, etc, it's just a matter of finding those scripts. The developer of the software you are wanting to use would be the best place to look for those.

Re: Optimal Hardware for Valheim Server?
I haven't had a chance to play with it yet (I hear it's good, though!), but I've heard reports that it's resource hungry, both CPU and memory. That's not unexpected for early access, and it should see optimization as time goes.

I'm sorry, it looks like you have a very old package! The PID is actually correct, I was just searching incorrectly.

Re: PHP ver
Is this a package ID? PIDs are 6 digits, so it looks like you may have forgotten a digit. As far as I know, all webhosting is on 7.2 (7.2.24 on the webserver I checked), though, I suppose there's a legacy server running an older version somewhere out there.

Re: Need help with minecraft and project reality server
I wouldn't be able to provide much insight to the Project Reality server, but for Minecraft, the particular error you're receiving suggests that either you're using the wrong java. You might need the server, if you're trying to allocate memory too much memory, since the client can only run 2GB, or y...

Re: Ports forwarding
What is your goal in doing this? In most cases that I am aware of, Serv_A would be actually transmitting the traffic to Serv_B, so that's the IP address Serv_B would see. I'm not aware of a way that you could expose the original IP that is connecting to Serv_A. Beyond that, Serv_A could just be a VP...

Were you able to get this figured out? If not, what's the actual error being returned? It's true that we do not support encryption via FTP, but you'd be able to use unencrypted FTP, or SSH/SFTP (which we recommend generally anyway, since it doesn't have some of the same limitations as FTP)

Re: Advice about moving server regions
The only reasons to switch would be if you're seeing attacks that the location can't handle, or if changing would lower the latency for all players.
