Re: Idle kick 300?
This is a huge step back. Many server owners depend on leaving seeds online until everything is going, without babysitting every 5 min.

Re: Battlefield 3 Update R9 News
Idle timeout is locked at 300 seconds? So basically it's impossible to seed now? Great.

Re: Server Crashing Thread
I don't think I should have to apply a workaround that involves splitting my server or reducing the capacity by 20%. My clan likes the 64-player dynamic; that's what we want and that's what we're paying for. Is there anything else you would purchase and then accept 20% reduced functionality just to ...

Re: Server Crashing Thread
How big is your server? 64-slot CQ. Are you running all the maps? Yep, full maplist. I've looked for patterns regarding which map it's on when it crashes, but I don't see anything obvious. I've done as much troubleshooting as I can, really, and opening tickets here doesn't yield any results because...

Re: Server Crashing Thread
The crashing is getting worse instead of better, for us. We spend hours getting the server going and then it crashes once it's full. Probably will cancel after this billing cycle.

Re: 64 Slot BF3 Servers - the longest yours has run without
The thing that really kills me is that there is even a thread with this title. I work for a business software company. If we dared release something that crashed every few hours, causing people to lose data, we would be out of business within a month, or slapped with a class-action lawsuit so fast y...

Re: BF3 server not showing up in server browser
Edit: Vehicles appear on Conquest Large whether you have vehicles checked or not. We left it unchecked and we are now listed as Normal... and there are still vehicles.

Re: BF3 server not showing up in server browser
I've done some experimenting with settings. I wiped the startup.txt file and we went back to being listed as "Normal" in the Preset field. When I enable vehicles, it goes back to Custom. I'm wondering if being listed as a "Custom" preset server is causing us to lose out on traffic.

Re: BF3 server not showing up in server browser
Has anyone figured out whether changing certain settings causes your server to be listed as "custom" the way it used to occur on BC2? We have a 64-slot server and we changed the number of players required to start a round to 4. We played last night 5v5 basically all night without attractin...

Re: Kicked someone on my server, whole server crashed?
We've seen some significant lag times between restarting the server and when the server is visible in Server Browser and connectable.

Re: BF3 admin program
Personally I look forward to a robust admin daemon provided by NFO. Our experiences with Procon were not good--I found their service to be managed irresponsibly and communication with customers very poor. More than once we had our whole installation deleted and moved to another IP address without an...

Re: BC2 admin daemon feedback
We are seeing some strange behavior right now, and I'm not sure if it's related to the NFO admin tool. We have the admin daemon disabled because we use a third party admin layer tool (Procon). When we issue an in-game command with Procon (preceded by an "@", like @kick, @fmove), we are iss...
