Re: Possible to host Minecraft on VPS account?
Can my server be converted to a Linux-based one, then? I'd like to run a single TF2 server, plus Minecraft at about the same price I'm paying now if at all possible.

Possible to host Minecraft on VPS account?
I currently am hosting a TF2 server on a VPS running a managed Windows based operating system, but would like to add a Minecraft server to the mix. Is there any way I can add a Minecraft server to my package as it is currently configured or change my plan to allow a Minecraft server to be set up? If...

Re: Bandwidth Calculation & Limits
Bandwidth usage can be difficult to predict since there are consistant usage factors (such as players using the server) and burst usage factors (such as mods or other things being downloaded for install) to consider. I would recommend keeping an eye on it and see if it looks like it is hitting the ...

Bandwidth Calculation & Limits
I'm currently in my second month of service here with NFO, and so far have been really happy with how things have been shaking out. However, I'm starting to wonder about the bandwidth situation I'm currently seeing with the servers I run. My plan is the 2-core VPS, running a pair of TF2 servers. A 3...

Great service and support!
Every once in a while the service and support a company gives me seems to leap out above and beyond what I would have expected. This has never happened at Best Buy, but it sure happens here with NFO. Since starting my own TF2 servers a month ago, I've had a few issues crop up either due to my own mi...

Re: HLstatsX, TF2 CPU Usage, Performance Tweaks
Nod, TF2 is very piggy on CPU, and it's fairly normal for a 32-slot server to use an entire core. I'm not entirely surprised to hear this, but I do wonder if there's a way I can do anything that would let me squeeze a second server onto the account? Would dropping the server's FPS down to 250 from ...

Re: HLstatsX, TF2 CPU Usage, Performance Tweaks
Quick note: I mentioned pl_hoodoo_final above, meant to say pl_thundermountain instead and wasn't able to edit the post. Also, does my VPS come with web hosting already configured or is this another feature that needs to be added? I can't seem to find out how to add that to my plan without running t...

HLstatsX, TF2 CPU Usage, Performance Tweaks
I'm currently running a single TF2 server on a dual-core managed VDS, and am trying to figure out a few things I can do to repair a couple issues with HLstatsX and tweak performance to make things a little smoother. I've read about how TF2 isn't great at multi-threaded performance, but I will admit ...
