Re: VDS Managed to Unmanaged
That's a shame. I really want to go unmanaged.

VDS Managed to Unmanaged
I know what the answer is and I understand why but I did see this post in the knowledgebase: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=8024 I have asked support before, if I moved from a Managed VDS to an Unmanaged one, would I keep all of my gameserver IP's. There is one in particul...
Re: Rune 1.10
I would like this option as well. The gaming community that supports my VDS started out playing Rune years ago and I'm sure they'd love a Rune server or two!

BF3 server recommendations?
Our gaming community is thinking about adding on a 32 slot Rush Server. Currently we can consistently run one 56 slot Conquest server with no problems on a 2 Core VDS. If we were to put up this next server, I am afraid that a 2 Core and possibly even a 3 Core VDS won't handle it. In this case are we...

Re: Serious Crashing Since r15
We've found that the Oman map is the cause behind the majority of the crashes. We were crashing a couple of times a day or more. After dropping that map, we no longer crash.

BF3 VDS - Able to add other game types?
I run a 2 Core VDS with BF3. In regards to the latest patches, EA/DICE's beliefs and forced settings, the community (not just mine) is sort of on a spiral downward and everyone is disgruntled. I would like to see how I could handle a BFBC2 32 slot server. Is this doable on a managed VDS or is only B...

Re: NFO iOS App?
If NFO is interested, there is the Titanium Mobile app that let's you take web content and create desktop, iOS and Android apps with them. Basically there is no coding involved to do this, other than the webpage of course. I only know about this because it is what Piwik Analytics uses.

Re: Disable HT with BF3 VDS
I would just like to update that John did get me into Sandy Bridge Xenon. Running the 64 slot server without multithreading on the 2 core VDS still lagged a lot at 64 slots. Except for at one round, after enable Multithreading, the server's lag is largely gone at 64 slot. Interestingly, it seems the...

Re: Disable HT with BF3 VDS
We can't turn off HT on VDSes, I'm sorry. It's fundamental to the way the system works. To run a 64-slot server, you'll need to be on one of our fastest machines -- an E3-1270 or X5675+ one, most likely. If you're not on such a machine now, contact us, and we can check for availability. do I just u...

Disable HT with BF3 VDS
I know that disabling hyper threading is generally a bad idea for servers in general. However, on the two core VDS I run, I wanted to try out a 64 slot server instead of the two 32 slot servers (one would crash at night and I really got tired of spending most of my time populating the servers and no...

Re: BF3: Starting the game with less than 7 players?
Would this kill your server's availability on Quick Match? If not, what is the lowest pre-round setting that I can use? I've tried putting "4" before but it still waited for 8 before we could move around.

Re: Coffers for new orders
A 2 Core VDS should run two 32/slotted BF3 servers stable but not a 64/slot server (maybe a 48 slot), does that sound right?

Re: Coffers for new orders
Also if I upgraded to a 2 Core VDS for 2 BF3 32 slot servers (managed I believe I have to select as well), would the coffers cover that? What would happen to my current billing cycle that I have around 25 days left on this game server? Would I still keep the first game server for 25 days and then th...

VDS + BF3
I realize that NFO may not have tested BF3 at all but if NFO has, would the Two Core VDS run one or two BF3 servers? What about a 1 core? If BF3 performance is unknown, what about BFBC2? Also, will there be a method for me to order a BF3 server in preparation for launch day? Lastly, with a managed V...
