Hey John, by upgrades to you mean better connection?
@Kraze, could you explain more about this?
Looking on the bright side, these attacks have exposed a weakness, a weakness which is being addressed and once addressed will unlikely become a problem again, at least for a very long time

Hey guys, sorry to re-ignite the fire here. I appreciate that you guys worked hard over the weekend to deal with these people. but these kinds of attacks are happening too frequently these days and it concerns me/frustrates me. How are they able to take out datacenter offline? (thats what I am assum...

Re: hltv from nfo.
k sure. thought i would ask.
I can write a script to download it from hltv
i know there is no set rule about bandwidth restrictions,
but downloading each demo, roughly 25 mb could be costly.
so if its okay with you guys, then sure.

hltv from nfo.
Is it possible to sync demos from game server to your webhosting, just like you guys have an option for maps in fast dl?
If not, then I would appreciate if john would consider this.
or if you have a another way around it, such as scripts, that is fine with me as well
thanks

Re: svc_bad error *solution?* (we hope so!)
okay, i jsut came across this topic, and figured i would chime in. Basically, after feb 2013 cs 1.6 updates, my pug would always get svc_bad errors, or something similar on that context. I think this happens when engine/plugins try's to send messages to players that it thinks is connected, but in re...

hltv on pub?
k, so i have a pub server (32 slots) which is quite famous. for popularity and movie making reasons, i am thinking about adding an hltv which would record my pub and make demos public via website. (i probably would just install a web server and have hltv run and save demos in some directory inside p...

idk
to some point i put my 100% trust in john's words. but i guess it could be psychological. the feeling of restarting whole machine just satisfies that ur servers are running at peak.

Re: Automatic Reboot or Available Now Reboot
hey john, i was using reboot button every two days and performance was actually better. i did it for few weeks till it was removed.
i would very much appreciate if u reconsider putting back restart option again.

Re: How to Identify and Ban a Hacker?
yes do rcon users and get his session id and do rcon ban sessionid also try hlsw. its easier to manage some pain in the butt hackers with it. one time, i had a hacker with name "`````````" without quotes. yes, by default thats in-game console key. if u do amx_ban ````, it would just close ...
