At this point, I've given up on them changing maxidletimeout so that it doesn't alter the server status from Normal to Custom.

not only is vars.idleTimeout 86400 ineffective currently but it also switches preset to Custom.

my TDM server also keeps resetting to 100 tickets after every map switch, and I have the daemon enabled with vars.preset normal

My 3 servers just dumped all players

crashes/dumps are still ongoing today .. left my house thinking I may just catch a break this AM, 30 minutes later my servers dumped/crashed.

Jay, are you running dedi/vps or a shared server ? Not sure if this is in fact true, and perhaps some stats would help with this argument, but I believe the biggest damage is happening to shared servers. Dedicated/vps servers are certainly impacted by this Blaze outage, but I'm thinking to a slightl...

I witnessed the BC2 moratorium on new servers when it happened, but I honestly don't remember having as many service interruptions with Plasma as I do now with Blaze. Just like Jay, I'm witnessing more crashes/dumps this week on my 3 servers. What's worse is that sometimes when they crash, they won'...

John ... has EA/DICE released any details about BF4's backend ? will it still be blaze ?

Certainly this doesn't apply to everybody, but BF3 servers have been a nightmare to manage so far with all the dumps/crashes/ddos attacks ... I'm just trying to see if BF4 will continue that trend.

I've personally noticed a sharp spike in blaze timeouts since Crysis 3 was released. Before then you could survive without getting a timeout for a day or 2 even. There is at least 1 blaze dump/day for the 3 servers I run. Not as vocal about it as TimSad is, though

well, I have a ticket going and Vanderburg mentioned that the box which 2 of my servers reside on was DDoS'ed tonight.

r36 may have addressed one of the more obvious causes, but the work isn't done yet !

2 of my servers just crashed right now ... I love these comments prior to crashing out:

yep ... this truly sucks !

both our servers emptied out @ 5:05 this morning ... and they weren't letting anyone back in 'em .. they had to be restarted in cp ... there goes my hope for avoiding dumps during double xp weekend ... seriously, bf3 isn't worth it if this doesn't improve.
