Re: Change server parameters
If you open a support request using your Help! tab on your NFO Control Panel, we can likely make this change for you.

Re: Latency to AWS North Virginia availability zones
I did some testing from NYC, Chi, and Atl against some us-east-1 ranges and NYC seems to offer the lowest ping, averaging 8.4ms or so. Chi averaged 21.8ms and Atl averaged 12.3ms

Re: Sign of the times?
Games as a service really has put a damper on new titles to host and fostering communities in general. It is a shame.
On top of this, we are entering an era where companies are starting to remaster their old MP titles (and scrubbing the master servers for them) as with Epic.

Re: NFO or Realms?
Realms is definitely convenient, but for hosting anything more than a friend or two, I'd go with a server provider and likely a modded server jar like Paper. The performance of the vanilla server jar is not particularly good, especially for chunk generation.

Re: CentOS EOL
I think we were waiting for the dust to settle on things and see what replacement actually rose in adoption.
Last I recall, there was one called AlmaLinux or something along those lines that is a 1:1 replacement, but there are mentions of a RockyLinux now as well.

Re: Vps access
Granting that level of control while still being able to take it away is a big ask, because there's little stopping them from just making an account they can use to get in later.
Is the VPS something running here with us? What OS are you using for it?

Re: NFo control panel node.js library
Hmm, which are you saying are the "duplicated arguments"? If you mean the email and password, this is because while most APIs requires a login step, NFOservers.com does not due to transmitting the password directly (this practice was questioned in https://forums.nfoservers.com/viewtopic.p...

Re: NFo control panel node.js library
One suggestion I'd have for the node one is to perhaps make it a class instead so you could pull some of your duplicated arguments out of the functions and into a constructor. That may just be my Java background showing though.

Re: Discord Bot: Tomislav
There's some neat stats gathering in there for traffic and CPU usage.
Something I'd recommend after scanning through it would be breaking those channel/user IDs out of the code and putting them into that config.json as well, just for better portability.

Re: Vps access
This is possible under certain circumstances. It depends on the type of VDS you have, and what kind of access you are wanting to give the user.
Could you describe a bit more in detail about what you are wanting to do so a more targeted suggestion can be offered?

Re: Source SRCDS on Ubuntu Server [no gui]
Makes me wonder if that tutorial would even work if it has incorrect info. I'll see if I can get it running on a test VDS of ours.

Re: Source SRCDS on Ubuntu Server [no gui]
It looks like that tutorial wants you installing an emulated xorg server of some kind, or something that just sort of encapsulates it. Honestly it may be easier to just install xorg since that's already some fairly complex work to get it running to begin with. Our hosting allows for the installation...

Re: paste in vnc console?
The clipboard function doesn't presently work unfortunately. It requires some behind-the-scenes tweaking to make it work properly and it can be unreliable even in the best circumstances. If you have a long string of text you need to insert into VNC, the best way I could think to do so is using a mac...
