Re: Enforcing Automatic Rates

This can be done with a couple of settings in your server.cfg file:

sv_minrate 30000
sv_minupdaterate 100
sv_mincmdrate 100

Be sure that the "max" versions of these settings are a bit higher or set to 0 as well.

Re: 'View Active Topics'

Just to add, I do it by the same method. At some point I hit "mark all as read" and as staff I have since then hit anything that shows as there being new posts. I then check those showing new posts from the point that I last read (or think I have read) to see what new was said. It may not ...

Re: BC2 admin daemon feedback

Currently the game doesn't have the functionality to switch to a specific map built in to it. For restarting the same map you can use admin.restartMap which ends the current round and restarts with the same map. Also, if you use our admin daemon, you can use !restartmap or !restartlevel in game to r...

Re: BC2 admin daemon feedback

From what we have seen, running multiple admin tools does cause problems, so its best to just stick with one.

Re: NFO Admin daemon beta (BFBC2)

The map rotations have been a bit wacky as some reported, but often its just a case of one or more of the maps in the rotation not being supported by the current game mode. You can safely list maps other than what is supported by the current game mode, but the server will ignore any such maps in the...

Re: Can you switch between rush and conquest without a server re

Ah, doing it that way, the game won't gange the game type due to a mixed mapcycle, it simply ignores any maps listed in the rotation that don't match what the current game mode is set to. You can change what the game mode is from the control panel with only a map change being needed, which was what ...

Re: Can you switch between rush and conquest without a server re

I don't believe that much was changed with the R7 update. As it was before, changing between game modes shouldn't have needed a restart in the first place, only a level change. Its possible that you are seeing a bug that has existed when switching from those two specific game modes. I'd recommend gi...

We make that same query script that you see in the control panel available for game server renters to use elsewhere if they like, which we talk about here:

Re: BC2 Annoucements

This is a handy guide for setting it up, you would just need to use the proper commands for whichever game you are playing: http://www.punksbusted.com/wiki/index.php/Automated_Messages The problem is that I'm not sure the admin.yell command works when done locally, or if it needs to be done through ...

Re: Where to get files to host own (non ranked) BF:BC2 server?

Ranked and unranked servers are the same, with just the options being set different. Because of this, only approved providers have access to the files, and they aren't allowed to give the files out or allow them to be accessed on a dedicated or virtual server either. John talks about this a bit more...

Re: cs 1.6 server keep shutting down

Both of those downloads (post #14 and post #8) contain a configs folder, and a scripting folder. The configs folder goes right inside the cstrike/addons/amxmodx/ folder. The scripting folder will have an .sma file in it that needs to be compiled. You should be able to use the compiler tool on the am...

Re: PB updated around 7-8PM PST.

Unless I'm mistaken, its punkbuster that releases those updates, not EA/DICE. The servers and client should automatically update themselves, though sometimes with a bit of a delay and often need to be followed by a restart.

Re: Which BFBC2 RCON Tool

I haven't had a chance to look at those tools myself yet, however the general trend is that those that make use of a daemon installed on the server/machine itself are generally monitoring chat for logging purposes as well as to monitor for keywords to trigger rcon commands. In a sense it may provide...

Re: The folder you specified does not appear to be empty. Please

Sorry about the delay. A second thread wasn't really needed for this, we've just been very busy tonight. As I mentioned in the other thread, that message comes from the autoinstaller finding something else in the destination folder. This is worked around by either using the file manager to delete th...
