Re: windows server 2016/2019??
Do you have an ETA for when we will be able to order a 2019 VDS?

Re: Windows Server 2016?
Windows 2016 will likely not be available until sometime next year Do you have an ETA for 2016/2019 support (I believe that you have to move to core-based licensing with its increased costs when your SPLA agreement next renews after October 2016)? Not looking forward to the price increase though. mgm

Re: Windows Server 2016
With Windows Server 2019 just around the corner, is there any ETA for support of Windows Server 2016 on a VDS?

Windows Server 2016
Any ETA for Windows Server 2016 VDSs? I am looking to upgrade from my 2008 server and I would prefer to start with the current Windows Server edition rather than, the now quite old, 2012.

Re: Windows 2016
The new licensing for Windows 2016 makes it far more expensive for us to host on VDSes than Windows 2012 R2. 2016 costs us the same as 2012 R2 for dedicated machines. If you are running 8 cores or less on a physical server, Windows Server Datacenter 2016 SPLA pricing is exactly the same as Windows ...

Windows 2016
I know it has only been released a few weeks ago but I am keen to purchase a Windows 2016 VM. Do you have any plans, or better still, an ETA for making Windows 0216 VMs available?
Thanks.
Malcolm

VENOM - Virtualized Environment Neglected Operations Manipulation is a good example of a backronym.

Re: Download speeds to Australi
Blacklotus is a (D)DoS mitigation provider, and I am not sure that running over their network would give the best results(they are typically a traffic proxy). I don't have any control of the routing from my NFOserver VPS to here. Perhaps NFOserver can tell me if there is a specific reason why my tr...

Re: Download speeds to Australi
Are you transferring over HTTP? Have you tried FTP, or vice versa? I have tried both HTTP and SFTP. Both are downloading at around 150-250KB/s. This was not previously the case, but something has drastically changed in NFOservers routing and/or bandwidth to Australia. This is having a significant e...

Re: Download speeds to Australi
More info. I downloaded the same test file from my VPS to a Windows box sitting on Azure and it downloaded at 7MB/s, a far cry from the 200KB/s I am getting downloading to Australia. So the VPS itself is not the problem but something is screwy with the path to Australia.

Here's a traceroute from my NFOservers VPs to my Australian VPS, nothing untoward there. 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms border1.te4-4.nuclearfallout-64.lax014.pnap.net [63.251.209.181] 2 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms core2.po2-20g-bbnet2.lax012.pnap.net [216.52.255.74] 3 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms xe-0-1-2.gw7.lax1.alter.net [157.130.24...

Re: Download speeds to Australi
Yes, from my NFOservers VPS to a VPS hosted here in Melbourne with a large hosting provider. Currently I am getting a download speed of 103KB/s.Are you saying that you used a VPS hosted in Australia to download from our VDS here?
Something is seriously wrong somewhere.

Re: Download speeds to Australi
Australia is quite far away from any of our locations, so I would expect a large decrease in download speed just due to latency. I don't think latency affects download speed that much. I get 3000KB/sec download speeds on speedtest.net from LA to Melbourne. That maybe not a real-world test but I cer...
