Sounds like you didn't read the info that NFO passed along after all of the updates went through.. you will likely want to wipe the server and start fresh - make certain you back up everything that's important to you before you do!

It doesn't specifically answer your question, but our 24slot CS:GO Beta server had said 20, but now says 24. As of August 10th , the scoreboard accomodates up to 24 players on non-official servers (they're keeping the official ones at 20 for now it looks like).
