Re: Problem with NFOservers

This doesn't give us anything to go on. Can you elaborate on what service you are running, what client you are running, and the exact error you are seeing?

Re: PLUGINS!!

You can do that using SFTP, yes. It is like FTP, but a bit better. An example SFTP client is WinSCP.

Re: PLUGINS!!

Do you have the base game running per https://github.com/SirPlease/Server4Dead-Project/tree/master/Dedicated%20Server%20Fresh%20Start? If so, it should be pretty easy to add MMS and SM to the server. For both of those, you'd need to just extract the files on your personal machine and then upload tho...

Re: Mordhau

Intel has focused on per-core performance much more with its 1P offerings than its 2P offerings, so dedicated servers tend to be much faster for single-threaded tasks. The raw performance difference can be as high as perhaps 50%. There will also be some virtualization overhead with a VDS, which will...

Re: Dallas downtime is getting pretty bad.

It was a dead switch, so that part wasn't really anyone's fault. The facility was quite slow to fix it, though; they need to improve on that.

Re: Dallas downtime is getting pretty bad.

For any downtime event, we keep customers informed via the "Events log" page in the control panel. Please keep your eyes on that and contact us directly through the "Help!" page if you have follow-up questions. We are here to help and always respond quickly.

Re: Mordhau

I have not researched that setting for this game and we don't expose an extra option on the Easy setup page in our control panel for tickrate. We allow customers to change the server's configuration files to their liking and don't explicitly disallow FPS/tickrate adjustment.

Mordhau and Outlaws of the Old West support added

Preliminary support has been added for Mordhau servers and Outlaws of the Old West servers to our regular shared/managed system, allowing customers to rent servers for these games directly or add them to a managed VDS/machine.

Re: Using newer version of PHP

PHP 7.2 and 7.3 are installed on our webhosting machines and usable from the command line, so you may be able to do this by modifying your scripts to have a shebang line at the top and reconfiguring Apache to process them using CGI instead of the default mod_php handler. But, this isn't something th...

Re: Mordhau

That certainly doesn't sound bad for a full server.

That's a pretty darn fast CPU, as well. Only one faster type used for VDSes here (the 6254).

Re: Mordhau

I appreciate the number there. That sounds somewhat high, indeed. I'm interested to see the numbers for a full machine running 40+ slots.

Re: Mordhau

I have added initial support for Mordhau to the order page now. I will need to monitor the first servers that are put online closely to see how their CPU and memory usage stacks up, in order to determine whether the pricing is right and whether the maximum slots should be restricted further (or crea...

Can NFO use "anycast" to help with attacks or performance?

This is an interesting question that we've gotten a couple of times recently, as apparently another company is marketing a service around this term in relation to game servers. The other company is not actually using the term correctly, and the marketing isn't quite right about how it works or how i...
