Re: Minecraft VPS Bukkit server not working

Ah, ok. You originally posted this in the Minecraft folder for our regular shared hosting, which threw me off -- permissions errors wouldn't be a problem there. If you are going to be offering servers to others (renting them out or similar), then you might consider installing a 3rd party control pan...

Re: VPS Dev Permissions

Is this on Windows or Linux? It is fairly straightforward to create multiple accounts on either OS. When you create the account, generally the user will get its own home folder that it will have exclusive permissions to. You can install an FTP server that will then allow the user to access that fold...

Re: Mordhau

I looked into that game in 2017, but it doesn't appear that I completed adding it. I'm not sure what stopped me; it's possible that there was an incompatibility involved, but it looks like a pretty standard UE4 setup. I will have to research this further.

Re: Minecraft VPS Bukkit server not working

You have many errors there that mostly point to plugins being missing or corrupted. Have you tried re-uploading them? Are you running the latest versions and uploading them in binary mode through FTP?

Re: Managed FTP Access

Each server has just one FTP account. The renter can choose to give you access to it if he'd like.

This is due to the way that user accounts work in each OS.

Re: Proxy Servers / Output of iptables -nvL

I'm not sure how you're creating/managing these exactly, but from the looks of it, CentOS does some unusual things with its default configuration, in terms of naming. You are presumably running a different OS at your other host. I don't personally have much experience with modifying the CentOS rules...

Re: How to access and make a copy of the world files?

Is this a server in our managed/standalone system? If so, we have an easy exporter tool on the "File manager" page, as well as instructions for how to use the server FTP to access the files.

I haven't seen other threads about this, but we should be able to check it out and see if it's something we can support.

Re: Possible to run unmanaged VDS from VMWare?

A GUI doesn't really help when it comes to setting up game servers, since they are all just configured through the command line anyhow. A good way to do things is to use your desktop GUI to manage multiple SSH windows as well as an SFTP window so that you can edit files. And, of course, your desktop...

Re: Possible to run unmanaged VDS from VMWare?

VMWare is a separate virtualization platform from Xen. I would not expect for VMWare tools to work with our systems. Because its communications are not encrypted, it's important not to use the VNC system for routine server administration. Instead, you should use mechanisms provided by the OS (SSH, R...

Re: Webserver auto delete files

A shell command like this should do what you want in terms of the actual deletions. Replace 1000 with the size in bytes that you want to be your threshold for triggering the cleanup. Replace ~/public/example with the actual folder name that you want to go through (in both places). It should start wi...

Re: Denver VDS

Denver was an unpopular location and we had been losing money there for years. The location could also not be upgraded in-place (so it was not at all resistant to DDoS attacks), and we could not get quick support for remote hands operations. We do not currently have plans to reopen Denver again. The...

Re: MongoDB Support

We determine what changes to make here primarily based on customer demand. I have not heard other demand for MongoDB support yet, so it's not currently planned for implementation. If we hear many customers request it, we will add it to an internal list for additional investigation.

Re: MongoDB Support

Our webhosting does not currently support MongoDB. You would need to use an unmanaged VDS for your MongoDB server.
