Re: Possible issues with using my own domain name?

In that case, yes, there are many features that may not work because without the nameservers being set to NS1.NFOSERVERS.COM and NS2.NFOSERVERS.COM, we're not actually managing the DNS for your domain, so we can't create records, or provide proper SSL certificates. This would be the responsibility o...

Re: Possible issues with using my own domain name?

Which message are you referring to, specifically? Is it the red warning that shows when your domain isn't using our nameservers?

Re: VDS with Procon external Database (TOS)

Hi there. For #1, you're fine. The only real condition there is having permission. If it's your VDS and your game server, you're free to make those connections, because you're giving yourself permissions. This policy doesn't require you get explicit permission. If a service makes itself available (a...

Re: Cannot WebSync.

Not a problem, you'll just want to ask the primary user to also add you as a secondary user on the webhosting portion of the package, which has its own control panel, with a Panel Access tab. Once added, you'll see additional options on the Websync tab of the game server control panel.

Re: Please Help

Yes, if you're unable to connect to the VDS over RDP (Or SSH, depending on the OS), it's always a good idea to check the VNC console in your VDS control panel to make sure the VDS is operating normally. You'll want to double check that the Windows Firewall is fully disabled in the VDS, which can get...

Re: Adding COD4 mods to my new server

After you upload the mod to the mods folder of your game server, you should see a new folder option on the Server Control tab of your game server control panel. This will let you select a particular mod.

Re: Problem importing sql file

Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to create things like definers or procedures on the webhosting, because it requires elevated permissions that we can't provide in shared environment. If your software requires these, you'd need to run a MySQL server on an unmanaged service, like a VDS.

Re: Ragnarok load up

You can also put in the path to the map folder on the Easy Setup tab of your game server control panel. For Ragnarok, this would be:

Code: Select all

/game/mods/Ragnarok/Ragnarok

Re: Server OS upgrade in place

Unfortunately, we don't have a mechanism for this. We don't allow private Windows licenses to be used, so only the installations with our product keys can be used, from the Server Control tab of your VDS control panel.

Re: Is anyone able to help me setup gamemode darkrp?

To do this, you would just need to add the following to your server.cfg file:

Code: Select all

sv_cheats 0
sbox_godmode 0
sbox_noclip 0

Re: How to add mods to search path?

The fields Caliban55 mentions can be found on the Server Control tab of your game server control panel. If you have a large number of mods (or if you just want to), you can also use a parameters.txt file. We have a guide for this here:

How to use parameters.txt

When using a large number of mods, the -mod= line can get cut off on the server's startup line. For this, you would use a parameters.txt file to hold more items than the startup line can. Inside this file, add mods using the following syntax: -mod=Mod1;Mod2;Mod3; These are added without spaces, usin...

Re: Lost connection with database

What is the physical location of your server? This would generally only happen if the connection times out, usually from sending/requesting a large number of rows, or if there was some connection issue between the locations, mid-transmission.

Re: Server Location Change/Upgrade

Fortunately, the order page will ignore the operating system selection for the purpose of change order, to prevent just that. The only way to have the system erase data on a VDS would be to reinstall the operating system from the Server Control tab of your VDS control panel. You are correct that cha...
