Re: BF3 Servers...

Honestly, NFO is offering BF3 at the same price as the average. http://www.gspreviews.com/gspprices.html Gameservers ($1.28) I find always at the bottom end of pricing, but with them you always get hat you pay for. Overloaded, under equipped laggy ass servers. Low Ping Servers ($1.55) is slightly ab...

Re: Battlefield 3 and Red Orchestra 2 ranked servers

I haven't got much spam from them. Just think they expect it to be a big hit, and trying to jump in front of all the other companies to get as many pre-orders as they can. I am sure, they will lose many with poor server performance. Most games are like that. Order too quick and get what you pay for....

Re: Battlefield 3 and Red Orchestra 2 ranked servers

Just received an email today that AoW has also been granted BF3 servers for sale by EA. They mention pre-sales at $0.99 per slot. Sorry to say, but their price also reflects their poor service and support. Looks like pre-sale prices are ranging from $0.99 - $2.00 per slot so far. Hopefully the compe...

Re: Ordering a Ventrilo Server question

I meant for the individual. TS3 is ok for the individual clan,
but ventrilo only allows I think 10 slots unless licensed.

Re: Ordering a Ventrilo Server question

Cool - We decided to go to TS3 to avoid the ventrilo licensing.
It's worked out well so far. TS3 quality is far better than the TS2 version.

Re: Unable to update serverdoc

Not sure if this would happen, but when I try to access that site from here, I get a warning that this site is a dangerous site to visit, according to McAfee. Any chance you have any safety programs running that may block the access? It's probably a false warning, but it blocks access none the less.

Re: What are the advantages to having a DS/VDS?

We started with a VDS managed server, and once you get used to the proper steps to adding new game servers, it's very easy to use. With managed, it probably wouldn't matter which OS you use, but make sure the games you want are compatable. One that we use is America's Army 3 which only runs on windo...

Re: Ordering a Ventrilo Server question

It wasn't mentioned, but you can't install Ventrilo on an existing VDS game server.
Apparently they prefer games and voice seperated.

Re: crontab help needed

Not sure if it can be done with cron, but I can take a guess at it. I think you would create 2 config files for each type of game style you want. Then you would have to stop the game server, and then launch it using the config file you want in the startup command line. Then to switch to the other ga...

Re: About nfo forums..

phpbb2 is far better then phpbb3 when it comes to spam.
You will eventually see 100-200 spam posts a day after a period with phpbb3.

We had to give it up completely.

If your not opposed to using nulled scripts, you can get some of the paid forums.

Re: BF3 Servers...

The company that hosted the Alpha servers in North America is offering the servers for pre-order for $2.98 a slot. A hefty price. $190.72 a month for a 64 slot server.

$69.90 euros with a European company.

Hope we see better prices as the launch day gets closer.

Re: Minecraft Viewer Plugin Help?

I have installed it on our server with no problems other than it took a little time for gametracker to recognize the server. We use v1.0c and not 1.0d though. Make sure the minecraftviewer.jar is in your plugins folder, and when activated, you should see in your cmd panel a line like: [MinecraftView...

Re: Difficulties installing some games

Make sure your using the updatetool, and not the installation package of the updatetool. Both icons are identical, but the install pkg is about 600+ in size, and the actual tool is 1000+ in size. I think the numbers are in the ball park. I had tried running updates to, not realizing that it was the ...
