Re: CSS server crashing with same error
The annoying part about troubleshooting is that there is often more than one cause working together to cause a problem. Throw in a large number of variables, and you are in for some work. In this case, I do think that note in the updates was directly related to the problem. While I didn't have time ...

Re: Bot question (counterstrike source)
Nothing that I am aware of that could cause this. In fact, I can not think of any cause at all, outside of a mod issue, or a quirk with the game. In this case, it certainly seems to be a quirk in the game of some form. It may be a setting causing it that shouldn't be, or an issue with Steam's networ...

Re: Bot question (counterstrike source)
That does certainly seem like an issue on Value/Steam's end. It is still possible that a controllable factor is causing it, but the fact that it still happens on a stock server certainly narrows things down.

Re: Bot question (counterstrike source)
Unless it is some sort of quirk with the new Orangebox version of the game that I am not aware of, adding them through rcon should not matter. It is possible that zBlock is somehow adjusting it, since the old zBlock would not even allow bots. The same could happen if you are running any custom 3rd p...

Re: Bot question (counterstrike source)
Bots will always take up a real player slot, but it should be showing up as a number of slots taken, not a number of less slots. 10 bots in a 20 slot server should show up as 10/20 and not 0/10. If you have some sort of mod controlling bot functions, it may be dynamically adjusting server slots as w...

Re: Mail Server
You could use your own domain, but for that to work, it would need to be a valid domain that is registered. In this case, localhost will work if you are running it from the hosting machine.

Re: Mumble Murmur New User
The message they are getting when trying to log in should be somewhat specific about why it is asking for a password. Did you have a password on your server before? If so, it may need a restart after the password was removed.

Re: Can someone give me the NFOservers default server.cfg fo
Our default server.cfg file for CS 1.6 can be found here. A few settings in there may not match what we have on the servers by default, since some settings are dynamically adjusted by our systems (sv_region for example).

Re: HLTV problem
Edge may need to correct me on this one, but if I remember correctly, HLTV is handled the same as HLDS. You should be able to set the IP for it, and run it as a service, the same way you did with HLDS.

Re: Source TV question
In the past, a server restart would normally kick the TV. It would then take a map change to get the TV running after a server restart. The next time you see this come up, try doing a map change to see if that helps. It may also be some odd quirk where it doesn't start running until both teams have ...

Re: Subdomains..
That all depends on where you have your domains pointing to. By default, they point to the "public" folder, though you can check the "domains" section of the control panel to see where everything currently points.

Re: Subdomains..
Domains and subdomains can be managed on the "domains" section of the control panel. Depending on the hosting plan you have, you may be limited on how many you can have. Templates and other files can be uploaded via FTP, SFTP, SCP, or SSH. The "file manager" section of the contro...

Re: help with l4d2 BinkOpen( c:\program files\steam\steamapp
To clear that up a bit, Edge was referring to the server's own console in his post, not the console in the game client. It sounds like you got it working though. Is it continuing to work properly?

Re: VDS hacked?
Punkbuster bans can be done manually via a punkbuster rcon command. My guess is he did it that way.
