Re: Noob Server Question; x-post from General
I forgot to clarify, the first map on the Easy setup tab actually gets specified in the autoexec.cfg, so that one will need to remain there, but the rest can be left blank. And just to explain this further, for ease, NFO has the "starting map" of the server ready to be entered on that eas...

Re: Transfering db
I tried the first one you said about just changing the database.. ..and this was my outcome ------- Warning: mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/2002): Connection refused in /usr/www/xxx/public/bans/includes/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysqli.inc.php on line 117 Fatal error: mysqli error: [2002: Connection refus...

Re: Dedicated Machine to Run Minecraft/TF2
That sucks! But as far as I remember - I do recall seeing a statement that says Minecraft does not operate on managed Windows (just as I cannot install Minecraft on my managed VDS). I don't remember where I saw it.. but I do know it's there! I'll probably find it once I start browsing in a few, sinc...

Re: Transfering db
But for this wouldnt i need to add the ftp files from the web plan to the unmanaged vds for it to show up as sourcebans.domainname.com? Nope! As long as you have the DNS updated to reflect the changes you wish, it can be hosted remotely. So like, The sourcebans database and ftp files are on web pla...

Re: Having trouble loading my website
I would have happily walked you through the steps of just changing the directory within the wordpress config so we could avoid that -- but at least you go it working.

Re: trying to install e107
For example if your web hosting package is called fogclan , and your database name is e107 , the actual database name would be fogclan_e107 . What he said. You can check by clicking the "Databases" tab in your NFO control panel. It will show you the full database name (provided you have a...

Re: Having trouble loading my website
If you used the auto-installer, you needed to clear out the subdomain field that is preset to a "wordpress" directory. When you view your files through the file manager tab or an FTP client, is this wordpress folder actually there? If it is, and you moved the files -- the wp-config must al...

Re: Why is the Dedicated Servers option a bit too expensive?
Whether that sale is still active or not; it would be the best decision you have ever made. You will not find support, performance or security anywhere else like you would here, even if it's comparable to your local mom & pop muffin shop slogan "top of the muffin, to you!". But, for re...

Re: Transfering db
If I'm understanding correctly, what you're trying to do is something like this.. Two packages: web unmanaged vds You exported your DB contents from the web package, and imported into the DB on the unmanaged vds. You are receiving errors -- stating that the database login failed/miscommunicated/is i...

Re: Few things I want to know before buying
How come your servers all have different IPs? You would want your servers to have different IPs! You can take individual IPs a step further and apply "A" redirects to them (vanity URLs). You would then be able to connect to that specific server with a short, easy to remember URL, rather t...

Re: Server transfer
Visit the specific server in the control panel, and click on the "Panel Access" tab. The first option will be "New primary account". The current primary account owner can enter the new account owners email address (that is currently registered with NFO), and it will be transferre...

When I first posted this thread, I was dying inside waiting for a reply from you, because I knew you would, and knew you would have the answer. I did what was stated in there - all is working now. Thank you. So very much. Lost about 12 players in the process of ranks not working but, port is open an...

It did not open with that. However I did manage to add it with: [root@*** ~]# iptables -A INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 27500 -j ACCEPT -m comment --comment "HLXCE" I now see it [root@*** ~]# iptables -L -n Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination A...
