I'll go check it again. That's what it said last time, but you may have other errors as well.

Verio problems

We've had some rather serious problems today at Verio -- we had a few instances where all servers lost connection for several minutes at a time. We've contacted our upstream about it and apparently they had a massive power spike that fried much of their switching equipment. They are currently having...

The directory containing YaBB.cgi is writable by others. Make sure that no one else has write permission to it. I recommend that you chmod 755 it. (I'll add this to the FAQ.)

I'll go take a look at your logs and see what it tells me ;)

(Personally I prefer phpBB or Ikonboard)

InterNAP bandwidth upgrade

We will be increasing the bandwidth at our InterNAP Seattle location to 100mbit (from its current 10mbit) starting in about a week. This will enable us to run more servers at InterNAP Seattle, should make DoS attacks less effective, and may reduce pings slightly.

WON problems

Valve's WON servers are currently having some problems that result in clients not being able to connect and servers taking a long time to start or not being able to start at all. Hopefully these will end soon, but in the meantime I'd recommend against restarting your server. Update (12:36pm): Looks ...

Some lag at InterNAP last night

I had a few sharp people emailing me about lag at InterNAP last night around midnight. I looked into it, and InterNAP was doing some repair work on one of the routers servicing our connection, and the result was a loss of connectivity at times between 12am and 4am. They say everything is fixed and t...

InterNAP is upgrading

There may be intermittent lag early this morning (Friday morning) for our InterNAP Seattle servers -- InterNAP is performing router software upgrades. They should finish by 3:40am.

Verio

Our Verio servers were down for about 12 hours last night starting at 11 PM PST; our provider installed a faulty network cable that brought all our machines offline there. They repaired the problem this morning and have assured us that it will never happen again. While the servers were down, we also...

Normally that won't happen unless your server machine is offline or a script is broken. Is your server at Verio? We had some problems with the provider last night starting at around 11pm, and the servers were down for about 12 hours total. I sent out an email to all the Verio renters about the issue...

Server problem, now fixed

We had some downtime this afternoon and this evening for one of our servers at InterNAP, internally referred to as internap-dual173. The machine apparently had some bad RAM and an incompatibility between the motherboard and the operating system. After a long troubleshooting session at the datacenter...

I hope so too.. my worst beef with it right now is that it continually crashes. Our test server is one for NWGaming, so you should be able to find it under NWGaming (something something) in the servers list. It's hosted on a dual 2.2 at Verio and right now I have it on low priority so it won't lag t...

Re: Quick Question

Hello I'm really thinking of getting a rental from Nuclear Fallout, but I have a couple of questions. Ok we all know when some people use "QuickStart" from Counter-Strike will my server be available for people to play on or will I have manually give people my ip? It will show up in the in...

bf1942?

I've gotten several inquiries on whether we will be renting out Battlefield 1942 servers. At this point there are only a few things holding us back: * The servers use tons of CPU (we're still figuring out how much, but 5% of a dual 2.2 machine with just one person is pretty insane). * They suck down...
