70 slots for....

I'm assuming it's the includiong of 2 commanders and 4 spectators, and 64 players, so correct me if I'm wrong, these will take up "invisible" player slots, correct?

Re: Essential GTX Beta Update for GTX Video Cards

Remeber the BETA requires you to be running a 64 bit OS, the non-beta will run on 32 and 64 bit.

Re: Server Admin controls

Could I ask, do we have any news on BF4 API information or rcon protocol?

Re: Server Admin controls

Thanks, though I'm using Procon's API to attempt to get a sourcebans integration going... though I might just use the straight rcon API that they provided.

Re: Best Server Location For Player Traffic

Chicago gets you a lot of Ontario based canada players and sometimes some Quebecois, you'll also get indiana, wisconsin, ohio (I'm in ohio and get 15-20 ms pings to chicago), west virginia is toss up whether they hit chicago or new york or atlanta. So the previous responses are correct, depends on w...

Re: Server Admin controls

Basically, Battlefield 3 (BF BF2, MOH Warfighter, etc. basically Frostbite 2 and it's successor versions) all make use of an rcon API which developers can write software for. However, finding the documentation to this API is... a bit of a hassle (as the procon links are kind of limited). The API is ...

Re: Issue with VPN Connectivity

This is truly baffling me :-/ all signs point to "it should be working"... and I don't get it.

Re: Server Admin controls

Right now there are no options, but procon will probably update, also nfo has some controls as well. Proon layer is not available through NFO but you can find hosts for it.

Re: Issue with VPN Connectivity

So I'm not seeing any indication of that except the possibility it's going via the VPN Server
72.15.145.20

But it looks to me like the routing is working properly within the VPN, it does a proper check of where the request (ping) is coming from, and tries to keep it within when attempting to do so.

I admire your effort in sales and I likely will take you up on your offer, but I would still rather wait until it is confirmed.

Re: Server Admin controls

I expect Frostbite 3 (BF4) to have similar rcon interfaces as Frostbite 1.5, 2, 2.5 (BF BC2, BF3, MOH:W) and probably the same api access to it.

Re: Procon Layer

I will only be running 1 BF4 server at 64 slots and only in the 64 player game modes, unless my community grows and helps support more servers of course. As of right now it's not a giant community. I see no purpose in tacking on an extra $25 (minimum)/mo to get a VDS when it could be $3-10/mo for ju...

Re: Issue with VPN Connectivity

The VPS here is a VPN client only, then? I would recommend taking a packet capture on each end to see what's being sent and what's being received. This will tell you whether traffic has the correct properties, and whether everything is arriving on the other side successfully. That in turn will give...

Re: Procon Layer

Only issue is if they host to many, then they have to purchase a license and share the profits with the developer. Cuts into any profits and depending on the expercted margins, they would have to increase prices slightly. Or they can provide it as an addon and include the price in the server price....
