FTP executable usage on webhost
Gentlemen. I've set up a PHP web-based ban system so users can see who's banned, by whom, and for how long. It also features a MySQL database for authentication so admins can make or modify bans without giving them full rcon. It works by using FTP to fetch ULib's ban file from the gameserver and sav...

Re: 10 Months In...
Well yeah, it's whatever the Windows equivalent of niceness is on Unix. Devotes more CPU time to the process over others of equal usage. Just wondering what it would practically do. Probably not much, as the machine has 8 physical cores, enough to satisfy the server processes on the machine, I'd ima...

Re: Suggestion: console.log Toggle
Yep yep yep. Also, something I discovered today, if the cvar sv_logfile is 0, then rcon can be used without also making a logfile, saving some disk space. Suggest the logging enabled checkbox toggles both log 0 and sv_logfile 0.

Re: bandwidth limit
Probably not possible with the stock firmware. If it were a router you could put OpenWrt Linux on it and go to town. Not with the regular old web based control panel, anyway. Stuff like that is usually reserved for Cisco's commercial routers and switches on IOS (not Apple's iOS :P). Cisco's docs are...

10 Months In...
Yep, my Gmod server's been rolling for 10 months now, It's seen constant use. It's the top SpaceBuild server of all of Gmod according to GameTracker. Nothing but excellent service and performance from NFo. The uptime is legendary. And the machine is a flippin' dual Xeon beast. Can't ask for more tha...

Suggestion: console.log Toggle
Hello, hello, and thrice hello. It occurred to me that having a toggle for console.log on Source servers would be nice to have for debugging purposes, instead of having to contact support about it. The file can get very big very fast, yes. However, maybe a script can be set up to kill the server and...

Re: Adding user to MySQL
Alright, fine with me. Just wanted to know why it was failing. It's not totally essential to have the extended features in phpMyAdmin, I mainly use it for imports anyway.

Re: Adding user to MySQL
Well, yeah, the DB already exists, it's tntspacebuild_phpmyadmin. It was made with the CP. If it were creating a DB it would have something like "CREATE DATABASE IF NOT EXISTS `tntspacebuild_phpmyadmin`" in it. phpMyAdmin can connect to it fine, I can see the tables I imported into it, but...

Adding user to MySQL
Heya. I just put phpMyAdmin up to check up on the databases for the wiki and web bans system I have running on my webspace. Though, it says to enable extended functions and saving preferences, I need to make another SQL user that has limited privileges to a seprate DB. Well, I made one, tntspacebuil...

I asked on the Wiremod forums. No response yet. The author of the MOTD one is a lead dev of Wire, so he may pick up on it.

Malfunctioning Evolve plugins
Hello hello and thrice hello. I am having problems with a few Evolve plugins. Firstly, the MOTD plugin of Divran's is not functional. It spits this on player join: [ev_plugins\sh_motd2.lua:88] attempt to index field 'StartPanel' (a nil value) Timer Error: [@ev_plugins\sh_motd2.lua:79] bad argument #...

Fantastic quality and support!

Being a geek nyself, and taking college classes in topics such as router programming, structured wiring and cabling, and database server administration, I have pretty high standards from being around industrial e...

Re: Question about auto SVN updater and .svn folders
No, no, it seems to be working now...bizarre. Anyway, my server is now operating with all its content now, all set on the SVN updater, except for Stargate, which you have to log in as anonymous for that particular repo. Godspeed dude.

Re: Question about auto SVN updater and .svn folders
Oh, something else bad. I can't seem to delete anything created by the SVN updater. I get 550 Access Denied. I guess whatever user the updater is running under is not me, so it's not owned by me so I can't delete it, and I can't change its permissions. Also, now it doesn't know how to handle folders...
