Re: VPN on NFO

Was wondering if anybody know a script or a way of installing VPN on an NFO server. I used to have a VPN service with an NFO server that connected via SoftEther, I would like the same idea. Like connect to the server via SoftEthernet on my laptop, Can anyone point me to the right direction? I've se...

Re: 3rd party (rcon) Vs Host Game Management

Has anyone else here that uses rconnect noticed that server performance seems to improve without it? For the 2nd time in less than 2 weeks, this extremely unreliable plugin has gone dark and is MIA. We're now managing our BF4 server strictly through NFO. While I want to give rcon the benefit of the...

How to reset your root password on CentOS Linux (VDS Only)

Go to the "Server control" tab on the control panel and reboot your server. Connect to VNC using the VNC Console tab and wait for it to tell you it was disconnected. Reload the page, and you should see the initial booting screen. If the VNC Console tab doesn't work in your browser, you co...

Re: Park a domain on NfoServers.com

I saw the option to add a domain with pointers? Is that like setting a DNS record? I have a domain I bought and would like to use it with NFO dashboard. So from a provider like Hostmonster I should be able to just change the DNS record to "point" my domain named osghc.com to NS1.NFOSERVER...

Re: /boot sector in a new 1-core linux VDS

Our newer OS images have the /boot partition removed and instead use a single partition for the / filesystem. The reason that the /boot partition is smaller like that was a holdover from when machines could not access large partitions during early startup. The size of /boot on older images is correc...

Re: How can I get 3 ip on one server to log in separate

softether doesn't support binding to a specific IP.

There is work to make this possible however according to their github: https://github.com/SoftEtherVPN/SoftEtherVPN/issues/193

You may be able to get it working if you build it from source.

Re: Version 277 is a major update.

The update should be rolling out for "Ark (PC)" customers shortly. Customers running the "Ark (PC, with optional updates)" version of the game received it automatically right after it was released.

Re: how to setup a smtp server

Generally you should avoid doing this at all costs, it's much better (and more secure) to use an existing one provided by someone well-versed with configuring it. SMTP servers are VERY frequently exploited for spam.

Is there a particular reason you are wanting to run your own?

Re: What happened last night?

I was conducting business as usual last night, when my box went down, unexpectedly. Fortunately for me, it came back up moments later, without a reboot. I didn't have to do anything. It was like it froze, then unfroze. It was nice. However, moments later, it happened again, but went down for much, ...

Re: Changing Default TTT Weapons

Hi I recently switched to NFO from another host, and for some reason I'm unable to change the TTT default weapons. For example if I try to modify the weapon_tttbase.lua file I'm unable to make changes, when I drop a custom one into the folder nothing happens. On my other host I could simply edit th...
