Re: Massive CPU Usage
Seems like a ton of addons. I only remember running a few that helped with the overall experience.

Re: Stupid Question
Which is why I specified in a general term there is a way to run a COD server, if he wanted. Besides that, there's no way to run COD or Battlefield on your own. There's nothing wrong with posting it.

Re: A few questions
SQLExpress is a free version for Windows. Although it does have it's limitations, it should be plenty for most standard applications.

Re: Stupid Question
There used to be cracked copies of the server/client files for COD, however they have all been shut down.
Alteriwnet was the major one. Had thousands of clients on it.

As well, Google DNS seems to be the best overall. I've been using them for quite some time.

Re: IT field?
I've found lately most employers would rather see certs than a degree, as certs need updating, degrees do not. Could have someone who has a network engineer degree, but it was done 15 years ago and probably useless now a days. All depends on the field, though.
Re: IT field?
Honestly, best way is to get started somewhere that will hire you for the base knowledge you have. Probably little to no pay, and you only go up from there. I'm now at a manager position with a variety of CompTIA, Microsoft and Linux certs. Schooling now a days is bogus, unless you want to take it t...

I've played with 2012 and I actually prefer 2008 R2. I don't plan on switching anything of mine, or my employers enviroment to 2012.

Here's another virtual machine. One of my main game server ones. No in any servers except HLTV and a TS3 running.

Re: Ram usage much higher on Windows than Linux
Here's a mostly plain 2008 R2 machine. It has the Remote Desktop Services role installed as it's a terminal server. Really isn't too bad memory wise. Like stated, a lot of the memory is the GUI. Memory consumption is similar to Ubuntu server with a GUI. http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s70/rustydu...
