Re: Ww3 servers?

I'm not sure I have heard of this game. Could you please provide a link to it?

Re: Most pure location changes now retain grandfathering

It has not gone away and the same conditions should still allow it. If you see otherwise, please open a help request with us so that we may investigate the situation.

Re: Minecraft Seeds

There are some exceptions to why it may still show old, but since it sounds like it started working on its own, the client most likely didn't finish querying the server. Either way, I'm glad it worked out. :)

Re: Minecraft Seeds

It may just be that the server listing needed to refresh. When it says old like that, it means the server itself is running an older version, which is controlled by the server jar file you run. The seed is just related to terrain generation and isn't version specific.

Re: Windows server 2016 stuck on 0% updating.

I have sometimes seen updates go very slow. Have you tried leaving it for an hour or so then going back to see if it progressed?

If it is one specific update in particular, you may need to research that update to see if others are having the same problem or if there is a problem on Microsoft's end.

Have you tried rebooting the server yet? Also, are there any firewalls in place?

How to randomly generate a map for a 7DTD server.

Random map generation in 7DTD can be extremely CPU intensive and take some time. For our game servers, this usually means our automated systems will restart the server because it thinks it is crashed (due to the downtime and/or CPU usage). The ideal way to use a custom generated map is to use a 3rd ...

This is not yet available, but it is very much still something we are working towards and hoping to roll out in the near-future.

Re: vars.unlockMode

I'm not seeing anything suggesting that the option was removed again, so it should still work. It is listed on the "Easy setup" page as an option to unlock all weapons, but it requires Unranked or Private game modes to be set. Once set, it may take a restart to go into effect. If that does...

Re: Error connecting to database: [1040]: Too many connections

That limit of 10 connections wouldn't have changed. Is your image showing what is current, or is that historical? If other addons or plugins are opening additional connections, and then closing, they may not be showing, if that only shows current connections. I personally am not able to check on the...

Re: Error connecting to database: [1040]: Too many connections

That error means you are running into our imposed limit, as stated in our ToS. Additionally, other customers on the node will not affect this, as it is per-IP. From the ToS: Clients may not: Have open more than 20 remote (non-local) connections to the MySQL server per remote IP address. You will nee...

Re: Source SRCDS on Ubuntu Server [no gui]

If you are running Linux, you may want to consider installing the Linux version of the software instead, if they have one. You will likely see better performance that way. We have a few guides here that may help, including some Linux installs for Source based games: https://forums.nfoservers.com/vie...

Re: Connection Timed Out

Based on your description, it sounds like there is some sort of routing problem where some transits are affected but not others. Have you contacted our support about this yet? If not, and if there is still a problem, please contact our support via the "Help" page in the NFO control panel. ...

Re: Non-default settings

I think I still don't understand what you mean, as performance tweaks are inner workings for the most part. You are free to try changing anything you would like, if that is what you are getting at, as long as it does not violate our Terms of Service. One of the great things about a VDS is that you c...

Re: Non-default settings

No one ever uses a 100% stock copy of Windows when you look in fine detail, as it has to change and use different settings/drivers based on the environment it is installed in and its purpose. As such, there are also differences between versions on full machines and VDS servers, and to a lesser exten...
