Re: Domain Usage - Office 365 E-Mail & For Webhosting/Forums

Since NFO is now managing DNS for your domain, you need to set up MX records to tell email servers to use your Office 365 mailbox. Are you talking about setting those up on the NFo side? In GoDaddy, where my domain is hosted, it already has the MX records that Office 365 needs - Office 365 does tha...

Re: Domain Usage - Office 365 E-Mail & For Webhosting/Forums

It shouldn't. Hey soja, Well I'm an idiot. The MX records were not changed, but mail is not routing to my Office 365 mailbox for my ftagaming.net account. NFo, What are your thoughts? I need mail to flow to my Office 365 Exchange mailbox for that domain, but also obviously use it for our website se...

Domain Usage - Office 365 E-Mail & For Webhosting/Forums

I own ftagaming.net and have it setup through my Office 365 account as an Exchange mailbox. It appears that once I setup this domain through NFo to be used for our webhosting address, it also modified MX/mail routing. Is there a way to have the domain you all host for the web portion, also work for ...

Re: General Database Question(s)

We LOVE IPB, but it comes with a hefty price tag and you need to renew your license if you ever want support from them :( We moved from vBulletin a few years ago, and haven't looked back. Have you taken a look at SMF(Simple Machines Forum)? http://www.simplemachines.org/ I haven't used them in year...

Re: General Database Question(s)

Yeah as far as free solutions go, phpbb is a great choice :) You may want to look at how much you can customize before you commit to one, things like themes, addons, etc. I have done quite a bit of looking and it seems, as you said, as far as free goes, phpBB seems to be a great choice. There are s...

Re: General Database Question(s)

Once you understand sourcebans, it's not really all that difficult. If you have any questions about it ask here, I have helped many people out installing it :) I appreciate the encouragement and offer to help - your name is definitely one of the ones I see on here the most! I've got the game server...

Re: General Database Question(s)

I do a little bit of both. Some forum addons I have for IPB require a database, for that I use tables inside my main IPB database. For sourcebans and every other sourcemod plugin we have, we run seperate databases(about 76 in total). This is great information! I was planning on doing exactly what y...

General Database Question(s)

In regards to webhosting and the databases therein, do most of you run a single master database and then tables under that for the various components (phpBB, MyBB, SourceBans, etc.) or do you have one database for each component? Curious how most handle that. I'll be setting up my first database soo...

Re: Insurgency - A Few Questions

With Insurgency, it does not really matter what you name your textfile for your mapcyle, as long as it is in a simple text format and you point your server command line to load that specific file thorugh your server.cfg. The important part are the maps, which you can find in your /insurgency/maps/ ...

Re: Insurgency - A Few Questions

That's tough to say, as while you can connect us and ask if we see something wrong with the server/configuration. It's not feasible for us to diagnose and solve configuration related issues. Your best bet here is to take backups of files you'll be editing and to only make one, maybe two edits at on...

Re: Insurgency - A Few Questions

Don't worry about it. This is what the forums are for :D Last question...for the moment ( )...how detailed of support do you guys offer? Meaning, if I make a change to a mapcycle file and something goes awry, do you offer help with my specific server manipulating files or anything? Just curi...

Re: Insurgency - A Few Questions

Firefight could be a default somewhere, which is likely why it's loading it, and yes, you would want to add _coop to the end of the maps, but only if you're running coop. Ok...I mean, that's really the only explanation at this point. I definitely don't want Coop for this one. If anything, I'd just ...

Re: Insurgency - A Few Questions

The gamemode that is being played is dictated by the specific mapcycle file you choose to run. The link I gave you above helps explain this. http://forums.nfoservers.com/viewtopic.php?f=96&t=11584 If you want to run coop you'd edit the server.cfg to use "mapcycle_coop.txt" and then po...

Re: Insurgency - A Few Questions

The gamemode is actually dictated by which map file you end of using. We have a guide on how to edit those settings here. http://forums.nfoservers.com/viewtopic.php?f=96&t=11584 I guess that's where my question/confusion comes in - right now my server.cfg file is pointing to mapcycle.txt which ...

Re: Insurgency - A Few Questions

As if it wasn't already obvious, I'm blind. If a Mod/Admin would be so kind as to move this to the Insurgency Sub-Forum that I stupidly missed, that would be great and my apologies!
