Re: Email and name server problems

You can change the mail servers by clicking the little black triangle to expand the advanced options for the vhost. Then, check the "Set custom MX entries (advanced users only; email accounts here stop working)" box.

Re: New VDS pricing is concerning

Pricing is $6 per core right now. There are two minor exceptions. I'm sorry that it upset you! I wish that our own costs were going down instead of sharply rising. (The main exception is the 2-core. We resisted raising the minimum price more than 9.99 because it's good to have a low-cost offering un...

Re: Single webhook calls to website resulting in multiple http calls.

It seemed to send the 200 response. I'd recommend having the script log its inputs and how long it takes to run to check on those things (to see if it's receiving the same form data and if it might be taking too long to process).

Re: Single webhook calls to website resulting in multiple http calls.

Are you certain that the source server is not making multiple calls? You should be able to check this by making a packet capture there, if you aren't sure.

The two calls that you show were 5 seconds apart.

V Rising added

We've added initial V Rising support to our managed system here: https://www.nfoservers.com/order.php?type=vrising . V Rising servers can be created standalone as well as on Windows managed machines/VDSes (the game doesn't yet support Linux). We're still calibrating pricing, and it may go up later a...

Re: latency variation on CS:GO LA and CHI servers

It does look like your ISP changed something about its connection to Telia there. They may have been overloading it before, and stopped overloading it (at least temporarily). Troubleshooting with Telia can be difficult sometimes because Telia's network randomly mangles TTLs, resetting the number to ...

Re: vps problem

Their service is really something they'd need to support for you. Here, with an unmanaged service, we can provide support for our own hardware and network. But, your problems are not due to our hardware or network. You are having software issues with an unusual 3rd party website, and you and/or them...

Re: vps problem

I am saying that we do not have 185.66.140.168 blocked or limited in any way. Note that is not an OVH IP address or hosted by OVH, so I don't know why they would be mentioning OVH. Even if we did block it, that block would impact all customers, not just you. So the fact that other customers work fin...

Re: New Ubuntu Dedi Renter - General Questions

That should work fine. You can also run chrt on a running process, so you could have a cronjob running as root that changes the behavior of every process run by that user, or every process with a given name. A command like:

Code: Select all

pgrep -f srcds_linux | xargs -L 1 chrt --pid 20

Re: vps problem

I understand, yes. I am saying that this is definitely not a problem on our end (NFO's end) at the network level. It is a bit confusing that they stole the GameTracker name, when they're clearly a separate site. The other GameTracker is a service run by a competitor of ours called GameServers. Regar...

Re: vps problem

I'm not familiar with that website, but 185.66.140.168 is not blocked or limited in any way on our end. It is possible that they have blocked the server on theirs, or the Firewall page may be involved, as has been suggested.

Re: Dedi machine randomly crashing?/freezing? (Pterodactyl Panel)

The most common cause of a machine crashing is an OOM condition. Another possibility would be that the control panel you are using is changing something about the network that is preventing it from working. Does the log just cut off, or does it show further lines after that (before your reboot)? Is ...

Re: ipv6

Anyone who wants to be able to enter the beta should be able to do so, at any location. Entering the beta just requires opening a support request and asking for it to be enabled.

Re: ipv6

An an update to this, IPv6 has been in beta for a bit now. I am working on a FAQ before mentioning it more widely, but all of the pieces should be in place. Anyone with a VDS who wants to enter the beta should be able to do so, at any location.
