Best Linux Distro for Gaming Server
So I know what the answer 'normally' is and that is, "whatever distro you're most familiar with" Let's say I'm not at all familiar with any linux distro but want to get my feet wet with a view to getting an unmanaged linux gaming server. What would be the easiest to learn (with a view to r...

Thanks,
I read that after I'd posted, wasn't sure if things had changed.
Thanks again

Consecutive IP's for Managed instals?
Is this possible?
Right now they're all pretty different, I'd like them to be consecutive, is this possible?
Thanks

Re: 4 core Linux VDS
Thanks man,
So here's a follow up question, purely curiosity driven.
If this was a dedicated machine and not a VDS how much would that go up by, 200% or?
Thanks,
I understand that this is entirely speculative, so again ball park is great

Rough guess is fine.

CZ Server: Bot Profile - Some Rifles & Some Pistols
I've been at this for ages.
I must be missing something obvious.
Does anyone know how to have half the bots with pistols and the other half rifles?

Re: Error: server failed to transmit file 'AY&SY?v?'
Thanks Soja,
You've helped me a few times on this forum and I really do appreciate that.
My beef is with the customer service as much as the service issue.
I still feel this could have been handled a lot better.

Re: Error: server failed to transmit file 'AY&SY?
Thanks Soja for ending the run around game. Open a support ticket asking for help Get told (I'm paraphrasing here) "I don't know, try the forum" Post the issue on the forum Get told (again I'm paraphrasing) "check out another thread" Post a 'whiney retort' Get given a link to the...

Any ideas what this errors could be?
I get the feeling someone (a player) is intentionally crashing the server

Hosting VPN on VDS?
Is this allowed? It'll be limited to one person only (me) and I won't be downloading anything illegal or sending a zillions spam emails (I have a Nigerian friend for that) or using a monstrous amount of bandwidth. The reason I ask is I often use a VPN to get around some internet limitations at work ...
