Re: Some Noobie Issues
For the map issue you'll need a FastDL for people to be able to download the custom map and join.

Re: Creating a mysql database for web to game
What makes you think he is trying to setup a game server on the web hosting?
In fact, it would be impossible because the web hosting terminates active processes after about 90 seconds.

Re: Automatically set binds for all players
You are unable to bind things on the client.
Best you can do it either take over default GMod binds or instruct clients how to achieve it themselves.

Re: Convars are being set before the convar is created
Unless this is the bootup map I don't see how the convars could not exist. Even then, it's kinda of meh.
Regardless, it shouldn't cause any issues, other than those convars not being set.

Re: Any news on GSP's shutting down their servers
It's not a matter of what RSPs desire in this case. It is a matter of what EA/DICE has asked RSPs to do for the launch (keep in mind that contracts are involved here). I'm sure that they will be looking at usage and gauging what to change after the weekend, which is reasonable. Whoa whoa whoa...are...
Re: Unturned
I've already done this on VDS. The problem is Unturned requires about 650MB of RAM per instance and a good amount of CPU space. It's insulting to pay for yet another VDS because of yet another thing I can't do on my managed dedicated server. I really don't understand the problem with getting this ad...

Re: Any news on GSP's shutting down their servers
I thought consoles were P2P? Either way, I am glad the PC gaming market is boycotting BFH. Yes, it's a nice game and I'd really like to play it, but I am fed up with the DLC and premium bullshit they do every single release cycle. Fuck it. They either start releasing Battlefield games for set price ...
Re: Unturned
Bumping this. Would really like to see the preview builds v3 supported.
They are obtainable via steamcmd and support IP binding. Should be trivial to setup.

Re: Mobile App
The control panel is pretty mobile friendly if you ask me. Just some zooming required which is expected.

Re: Hosting Suggestion: Nginx
Personally I use nginx as a front end proxy and for serving static content, and I let Apache serve PHP and dynamic pages.
It works for me and I get the best of both worlds.

Re: Control panel suggestions
When it comes to github, thankfully they fully support SVN across their network. If you just use the SVN link that they give, you'll be golden. Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I'm aware that doesn't do any good for a private repo. You should be able to access even private repos over SVN @ Git...

Re: Managed VDS Suggestion
Don't forget game installs take up space too. As as far as I see you can't remove them once you add them.
