I figured much... but the guys are tired of seeing the DDoS attacks, on top of battlelog issues, on top of blaze dumps, on top of not being able to seed the servers.
BF4 has definitely been a nightmare for server owners.

Anybody have servers in Atlanta or New York? Just curious if they've been getting hit as much as Chicago has. Or if NFO is the only GSP in Chicago that is affected by the DDoS attacks.

If you issue a normal preset command, it changes idleTimeout back to 300.

Anything other than 300 makes your server Custom.
Server being custom = server dead
Server as Normal without guys to seed = server dead

Personally I'm not certain why people still continue to be upset about "official servers" and not being able to do certain things on them. You do realize that you are just "hosting" the server for the folks at EA/DICE. That was the intentions from Day 1 of it and when they relea...

we have already canceled one server, and are looking at canceling the second. We are a very small gaming community and we just don't have the volume to get our servers up and running. Official is great for this, however you cant police it at all. Unfortunately we might have to go back down to two.....
