Re: Teamspeak3 music bot
As Kraze said, it's needed to dedicate a client to it. Usually, people simply use a Windows server for it, in most cases if they're running the TS with Windows server, they just use the same server. Through good configuration you can even automate everything within the TS3 client (connect to server ...

Woops, I contract my post. I thought you were talking about a site hosted on NFO's web hosting, not the main site.

Re: Site offline
I would check your event logs in the control panel - they should have any information posted by staff regarding outages.rustydusty1717 wrote:More today from about 3:15PM - 3:50PM Pacific time?
Site was on and offline for almost an hour.

Re: Download speeds to Australi
Australia is quite far away from any of our locations, so I would expect a large decrease in download speed just due to latency. I don't think latency affects download speed that much. I get 3000KB/sec download speeds on speedtest.net from LA to Melbourne. That maybe not a real-world test but I cer...

Re: Block all IPs trying to hack
You can easily change your SSH port which gets rid of most brute force attempts as SSH won't be running on the port they're brute forcing. To do this all you have to do is login as root and edit '/etc/ssh/sshd_config' - search for the line that has 'Port 22' - change the port to something else. I wo...

Re: First time setting up a dedi. Could use some assistance.
Hey there, forums! I'm new to not only nfoservers, but to the dedicated server thing altogether. I'm hoping to break a learning curve through this community, as I heard it was a really great place to start out, due to all the helpful people here. So, less than an hour after receiving my connection ...

Re: PHPBB New topic problem
Whenever I click thew "new topic" button at the top corner of a forum, when I try to load the posting page, it just gives me a blank white screen. I've refreshed my browser, meaning that I cleared all my browsing data which included history, cache, cookies, and etc. Does anyone know of an...

Re: TS3 & 2-core VPS question
Thank you. I just read that they are currently closed. I'll keep my eye out for when they re-open again. Quick question though, when we register to obtain a NPL, do they ask for a website URL? I plan on using this on my 2-core VPS which doesn't have any website on it at all, just my game servers. I...

Re: TS3 & 2-core VPS question
I have the free unlicensed version which allows a single 32 slot server, but need to expand and have more slots which is why I was wondering about this in the first place. Currently this unlicensed version is on my 2-core VPS. So I was just curious if we end up purchasing 1 through NFO, if these 2 ...

Re: TS3 & 2-core VPS question
If it's an unmanaged server, yes, you can install anything you want within NFO TOS. If it's a managed server, you won't be able to do that I don't believe.

Re: Teamspeak3 ServerQuery Admin help
You would have to use the TeamSpeak 3 serveradmin account that TeamSpeak provided upon first starting up the server that had a randomly generated password that it provided, I do not think it saves the output containing the passwords to the logs, so you'd need to manually reset it. If you didn't save...

Re: Teamspeak3 ServerQuery Admin help
Upon paying attention to the forum section this topic is in, it looks like it may be on an unmanaged VDS? If it is indeed on an unmanaged VDS, please disregard my last post in this topic.
