Re: I hate hurricane electric

This is how my old ISP routed me. I go from the island of newfoundland where I live to the city here, then to chicago and then to New York, yet we are righ6t next door (4 hours by plane) from New York. Heck we sell power from here in Canada to New York so there no issue with putting cable down. But ...

Re: Killing Floor more than 6 players

Yup that's what my buddy is using on his KF server he runs on my VDS. You will also need a perk mod as your perk classes will be level 0. No ranking for this type of mod.

Re: Killing Floor web admin and php support ?

I really don't think he download a key logger from an old clan member who is up rising against him. The control panel for NFO along with FTP are fine from what I can see. He doesn't even log into it because he afraid he may mess something up and don't understand how to install maps or mods. So far s...

Re: Killing Floor web admin and php support ?

You know I have run KF servers since they first came out. I have never even once had my admin account hacked. Honestly, I don't think I have ever seen a hacker on KF in my life. Nothing you posted makes sense. How the devil can they crack his password. I honestly dont believe it is even possible. A...

Killing Floor web admin and php support ?

Ok so here whats up, a buddy of mine runs 2 Killing Floor servers off my VDS and has been having issues with hackers as of late. I dealt with one of them in the pass by a firewall block. But these hacks don't give up, They managed to hack his Admin account and use web admin to cause some trouble. I ...

Re: Can't connect to VNC via Mocha VNC for iPhone

I tried 2 other VNC apps for iPhone, VNC Client which had the same issue as Mocha VNC, and VNC Viewer which cost me more money seeing I already paid for Mocha VNC. I hate when companies don't have trials for there apps. Anyway good news is, I didn't waste my money on VNC Viewer as it does allow me t...

Re: Can't connect to VNC via Mocha VNC for iPhone

Yes I have tested it with iPhone Mocha Telnet / SSH and it gives me a screen but doesn't allow me to type. I am more interested in VNC tho as SSH like putty doesn't give me access to the current running shell for the game server console. What type of VNC mode is being used ?, maybe it doesn't like i...

Can't connect to VNC via Mocha VNC for iPhone

I don't know if anyone knows the answer to this or not but I like to get this working if I can. VNC on my server (OS: Linux) works fine for TightVNC Viewer from my desktop, but when I am on the go (Which is pretty much 12 hours of the day or more) I tend to use my iPhone for server control. I have a...

Re: Nuclear Dawn Server

Single Linux system runs this game with bots and 32 players without a single bit of lag. I have never seen a game run so smooth. If your planning to do a Nuclear Dawn server, a single core Linux box here would do the trick. I can't believe how populated my server has become in the past few days, eve...

Re: Nuclear Dawn Server

Ok so I rented the single core Linux box yesterday. Today I got the steamCMD to work and it looks like it's running fine. I can't recall alot of Linux commands so my brain must be getting old or maybe the cold getting to me . This was my first time using steamCMD over HLDSTools. And the wiki se...

Re: Linux flavours / OS choice

I generally recommend Debian to our customers because it is a pretty lean OS and is kept up-to-date well (unlike CentOS, which uses much older, but theoretically more stable, software releases). The unmanaged Gentoo install is a pretty standard configuration, so there's nothing too special about it...

Re: Nuclear Dawn Server

Its a FPS/RTS built on the source engine, I think there is a bit of AI in it though, so the CPU requirements may be a bit higher. I would go for the 2 core, since its on source it will probably consume 1.5 cores when full (if networking thread is separate) Well I haven't had time to play it yet, I ...

Re: Nuclear Dawn Server

This game has never been supported in our system, though we've considered adding it. This means that servers for it would need to be run from an unmanaged VDS/machine. I don't know anything about its resource requirements, but someone else might be able to chime in. Ya that why I am wondering what ...
