Re: Renaming Identifiers Recommendation
I should have remembered from last time not to do this, now the ftps are all thrown around and it's all glitchy. Probably going to have to get John again for this one.

Re: Renaming Identifiers Recommendation
I had 3 servers with clan name identifiers like so sgjb1 sgjb2 sgjb3 Then I wanted to bump sgjb2 up and put another server in it's place, so I renamed sgjb3 to sgjb4, sgjb2 to sgjb3, and then made a new server called sg2. I'm assuming since the files are copied from the directory for sgjb2 to sgjb3 ...

Renaming Identifiers Recommendation
Now I realize again that this is probably my fault for changing my identifiers too fast, but this could easily be used to cause grief to a customer. Say a customer used their managed panel to rename their identifier from x to y, but immediately after they start the rename, another customer registers...

Re: Installing and managing subversion on a managed webhosti
I almost need a KB article. There's so many articles online, and I'm not sure which ones I can use or which ones even work. From what I've read setting it all up is confusing, there's so many different routes to take, and most of them are saying /etc/apache2/mods-available/dav_svn.conf Which I'm ass...

Re: Installing and managing subversion on a managed webhosti
I went on SSH, setup all the repository stuff in my directory, but ran into a problem while trying to commit. >svn commit -m "Initial Import" svn: E170001: Commit failed (details follow): svn: E170001: Authorization failed Wait.. I think that's svn authentication, not failure to access.

Re: Installing and managing subversion on a managed webhosti
So I could use SSH to create repositories and such with subversion on my shared web hosting, correct? Also, its been over 72 hours since I submitted that A record change for dev.mydomain.com and it still appears to be not functional. For some reason when I attempt to visit it, it adds www to the beg...

Re: Installing and managing subversion on a managed webhosti
Also, when I visit dev.mydomain.come it says this No website is currently set up at this address. If you just set this site up, there may be a slight delay of up to a minute while the new Apache configuration is loaded; try visiting the page again in a minute or two and clicking refresh in your brow...

Installing and managing subversion on a managed webhosting
I was wondering if it was possible to install subversion onto an nfo shared system. I wanted to host some of my coding projects privately on a server. If nfo doesn't support subversion on their shared hosting systems, I already have a virtual server with apache and subversion installed, and I'd like...

Great support, server, and performance! + Tiny Problem
That's about all I have to say. I decided to post here because commentary seems like the best section for me to fix this little nit-picky thing that I read in the knowledge base. On http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=4559 at the very bottom, it says * Are available only for 3+...

I fixed it all. Thanks for the dedicated support guys, but I just decided to do a stock reset on my server. Apparently my newbishness at linux screwed something up the first time around. All is well

Having my own website for webmail
If I wanted to use my website that is hosted on your shared hosting, can I do so in anyway? I wanted to have it so my users could go to webmail.mysite.com to access their email instead of webmail.nfoservers.com.

Re: Problems setting up apache2 webserver on Ubuntu 14.04 se
Already attempted that, and did it once again just for the point. No result. Website doesn't even pretend like it's trying, just goes straight to the page not found. Here's the IP address if it can help anything at all: 162.248.89.192 Also.. just pinged that to out rule that, I can ping it quickly w...

Problems setting up apache2 webserver on Ubuntu 14.04 server
I was wanting to toy around with some apache2 on my unmanaged ubuntu 14.04 vps, however I ran into some problems immediately after install. I started to follow the guide here: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=11140 You can go to "http://www.xxx.yyy.zzz/" - where &q...

Re: Few questions about unmanaged linux
Yes, but assuming the server is crashed/restarted, I want my applications to automatically load themselves without me having to access the console, which is why I used rc.local.

Re: Few questions about unmanaged linux
Alright, that seemed to solve all my problems with host name and permissions, but the one problem remains: How to switch between screen sessions that were created in /etc/rc.local. Again this is an ubuntu 14.04 server. Here is the section of my rc.local that starts my ts3 and minecraft servers: su t...
