Re: VDS hacked?

In CoD4, bans are recorded in a bans.txt file, located in the mod's folder (or the "main" folder, if not running a mod). If there are no such bans recorded, and a server restart doesn't clear the bans, then they may have their bans recorded in punkbuster instead. This is assuming they are ...

Re: multiple servers same game help

Doing that is pretty simple. You would need to make another copy of the server. I believe for this game, the folder you would need to make a copy of is called "sourcebase", but in short, the folder you need to copy over will be the one with the server's .exe file in it.. You can name it so...

I am a bit confused as to what I am looking at in that picture. What exactly is that in the picture that you are pointing to?

Re: Setting up Fastdl

That seems to be a better guide for source. We also have this guide that relates more specifically to HL1 based games, and it was just recently updated to current information as well:

Hopefully soon they will have this new patch out. One of the reasons for the delay is they are taking the time to do it right.

Re: Help

We covered this in the Help system, but I will explain it here for others to read as well. Once a domain has its name servers set to ours our systems handle the domain pointing. If for some reason there is a delay in the name servers updating (which seems to have been the case here for a bit), our s...

From the looks of it, you already have that domain added. All you need to do is use that address instead of the included address now.

Re: New to Webhosting

We used to have an autoinstaller for phpnuke, however it has become rather old and outdated. A newer and better CMS alternative to phpnuke is Drupal, which we do include an autoinstaller for.

Re: Questions about user interface and access

The control panel that we have will be the central way of accessing the server. From it, you can access files, stop or start the server, and a few other things. There is an option included to schedule a server wipe, which deletes the entire server and re-installs it from scratch, as if it was a bran...

For all of you retro gamers out there

Today is pac-man's 30th birthday! As is often the case with special days, Google has changed the logo on http://www.google.com and in this case its a pac-man video screen. Even more cool is you can actually play it with your arrow keys, check it out!

Re: Domain Switch

First you will need to go to your domain provider's site and change the name servers your domain uses to ours, which are: NS1.NFOSERVERS.COM NS2.NFOSERVERS.COM After that, you can go to the "Domains" section of the NFO web space control panel and enter your domain in the space provided for...

Re: BC2 admin daemon feedback

From what we have seen in the past using multiple admin tools causes problems, so I would recommend against it. This would include using our admin daemon with another 3rd party tool.

If there are features you would like to see in the admin daemon by all means let us know. :)

Re: Enforcing Automatic Rates

This can be done with a couple of settings in your server.cfg file:

sv_minrate 30000
sv_minupdaterate 100
sv_mincmdrate 100

Be sure that the "max" versions of these settings are a bit higher or set to 0 as well.
